I ended up getting this three pack, since I found it for a pretty good deal. The star of the show is, IMO, Batman. The first wave Batman was stuck in an awkward midway point between classic Detective Batman, Hush Batman, and Rebirth Batman. I would have preferred the Hush look, as that's my...

Telling someone to "learn how CGI actually works" when they correctly point out something isn't AI isn't the win you think it is, chief. It was made to be a tie-in to the '86 movie's 40th anniversary release. That's the whole reason this thing exists. I teach creative writing. Sometimes...

I just feel like nerdom in general has a bad habit of saying "I personally don't like X therefore everyone hates it." We've lost the ability to just say "it wasn't for me" or even "I didn't like it," and leave it at that, because that opens the door to the possibility that someone could...

That's part of my issue with the PT, it's very poorly paced for the story it wants to tell. I know "rewriting the Prequels" is tired territory so I won't get too into it but... The PT needed to be centred around the Clone Wars in its entirety. The dialogue where Obi Wan tells Luke about Anakin...

Tracks kinda works if you either get really lucky or can somehow modify yours so that the tolerances on the legs work just right to hold their positions in robot mode... but even then it's kind of tenuous. Something I'm sure looked solid enough as a CAD model but didn't really work at all once...

I'm gonna pull the same card I pull with my students from time to time. Can you cite your sources? Needless to say I massively disagree with you. I'm going to go out on a limb and say that while anyone past the age of 80 is certainly on a short clock, no one really likes planning for a...

"Nice hair." "Thanks."

So the final short they did, Optimus Prime Awakening, was pretty cool Good animation, it seems very fitting for Cullen's last performance as Optimus, even if they couldn't have known it would be his last.

I can't see how someone would say the ST is a set of worse movies than the PT or how someone wouldn't rank AotC at the very bottom without trying to troll people online. But that's the thing, if we assume we're all coming at this in good faith- and given that we've curated a pretty good...

Don't get me wrong, I have nostalgia for the PT and I do watch them now and then... but they're not good. And the idea that they were unfairly criticized while the ST's criticisms were all valid strikes me as nuts. Both trilogies had their bad faith and good faith criticism, but if you're asking...

And I disagree with this. Sorry.

I get all of that, and I don't disagree that they did a massive disservice by not working out a three movie plan and letting two conflicting visions of the franchise ping pong back and forth. I also get the frustration with not having the original trio reunite on screen, but I feel like that's...

I still haven't seen this thing but I know a cool looking action figure when I see one.

I'm thinking dedicated SS '86 moulds. ER Wheeljack being in a toy deco getting repainted for SS '86 doesn't count. SS '86 Optimus? Seekers? Soundwave? Megatron? Nada.

I don't hate that they killed Cliffjumper. There's nothing wrong with wanting to establish some stakes. But the one-two punch of casting the Rock and then killing him after like five minutes really was the laziest way to go "WE HAVE STAKES, GUYS!" in a show. It's as @lastmaximal said... the...

Prime's budget was already nuts. Imagine if they had to pay for The Rock for half a season.
