Ehhhh, the Galactic Man redeco is much more of a black repaint. I'm thinking realistic Army-type colors on an alien spacegun.
Though if it says GALACTIC MAN on it (as the WfC one did), that would also be cool.
Your suggestion is a *lot* more likely, though, for whatever that's worth.
He won't, but it'd be hilarious if Shockwave got a "real-type" redeco to go with Bruticus.
(Or maybe an Energon Sixshot redeco to go with the hopefully inevitable G2 Bruticus.)
Pirate Scourge looks really really neat. Looks like a late-line garish redeco of an originally realistically colored toy.
Again, we need more of that and Cyberworld continues to hold promise.
Wasn't talking about Scourge, who I hadn't seen, just the guys I mentioned in the previous comment. (And Shockwave, who IMO is on that core category.)
It's one thing for lower-tier characters and randos to get wacky new modes and another for the easily recognizable ones.
Like in another...
Right, but most of the core guys in S1 were not oddballs- Optimus (initially), Bumblebee, Starscream, Wheeljack, Grimlock. Megatron and Mirage were the only real oddballs among the most-frequently-getting-new-toys/ most recognizable characters.
Tigatron's beast head looks more like a polar bear's than a tiger, but whatevs.
Hound and Shockwave look great.
Big Bumblebee sure is a series of design choices.
Soundwave is intriguing. Is that a helmet/mask (and if so, whhhhhhy) or does he just have a huge head?
I like how he and Hound...
This is our third Astrotrain mold in what, ten years?
Astrotrain. Not a core castmember or something. Yes, he's not some nobody, but triple-changing is complex, and scale-wise, he needs a larger size class (which there are relatively fewer of and lots of competition).
I need to dig out TR...
My hope is that we get another wave next year (or whenever the next cycle is) with updates of the ones they skipped this time.
I have to think this promo is popular and successful enough because ohmygosh these are fun. I've been giggling about Cap Cap since I got him last week. (And he's not...
Not really the same thing, but Voyager Soundwave shipped with his redeco Soundblaster back during WfC.
They don't generally release a mold and its redeco in the same wave, but it's not unheard of. As much I want Unicron Soldier to be someone else, I don't think adjacent waves tells us much.
I should say that I *like* thus version of Nexus. I love generic robot modes and ad-hoc Cubertronian vehicles.
It's really just the combination aspect-- and the compromises that come with it.
But enough about last week's news. Powerglide's mask is my new favorite accessory.
I *guess* that's fair, bit they played it up with Armorizers and other combiners.
Part of it IMO is the frame system, which has many many flaws (and cross-selling is absolutely one of them).
The decision to leave the gimmick/selling point on Nexus's packaging is baffling,
If you weren't at least knee-deep in online TF fandom and you just saw it in the store, how interesting would it be?
Again-- I miss techspecs. Give us *something* on the box to sell this guy.
Nexus looks like a missed opportunity to use Micronus's wheel bike and Amalagous parts.
Or 5mm posts/pegs for Armorizer/etc. action.
but yeah, the frame situation is not helping
(nor is the complete lack of information on his PACKAGING- the thing that should help sell the toy)
Leige...
Borderline nothing. The man was an alcoholic who withheld that information from his audience and his doctor.
That was why his liver was in such bad shape.
But McDonald's never fought back.
I liked how Elita-1 remembered the game from before. I'd been wondering if the show would ever repeat them, so at least we know they do repeat, in-universe.
I also kind of think the program numbers should logged somewhere. (By someone else, I mean.)
