The official Blokees account on Twitter/X has posted promo pics of their upcoming Defender Version series 4 figures!
The lineup for "Tyrant's Fury" is plenty interesting, with two followups to series 3's Hot Rod and Grimlock, in Rodimus Prime (now with arm blasters) and Dino Mode Grimlock...
Maybe it'll be like an RID2015 Combiner Force thing. Simple limbs with basic robot modes, small torso with slightly less basic robot mode. This line has had a few that feel like they're clocking in above their price point mass-wise -- Micronus, Onyx, Megatronus -- and this may be similar.
I kinda dig this dino mode Grim, and really appreciate that Rodimus now has the blaster pipes. Maybe if I get lucky and snag doubles of this I can upgrade the Hot Rod.
The Carl Fredricksen proportions on Rodimus (the big collar heightens the no-neck part of the SD aesthetic) are kinda funny.

I read it. And as someone who's lost files and such (and is paranoid about it happening again), I totally get that. Especially since it's creative work, which ups the value of each bit just that much. I'm glad you managed to find so much of it again.
I think it may just be a convenient quick way to distinguish sides at first. In G1 it was simpler but also not very consistent; the good guys were cars and trucks and the bad guys were jets but also a gun and a tape deck.
Although in this case it may well turn out that the Decepticons have the...
It's the title the upload is using that the article's about. If and when that changes that can get reported too, or edited into this article.
The thread title is still better.
It's a pretty nice take on Slugslinger. I might've gone even darker with it (basically blue tinted charcoal) but that might be what it already looks like in person.
That genuinely felt more annoying at the time. I think because of how much more time there was to fill each episode and how little there was going on in the present, and how few crumbs there were to get them the info they needed.
To be fair, that's true, and I'm sure if i watched the four in one go my impression (already favorable, as mentioned) will yet improve.
But this being a weekly release rather than a one-shot bingeable, that's part of the experience. And even then, the way new aspects of the world and backstory...
This show continues to be fun and charming. I'm really liking the... energy of it all. While the fights still tend to feel like padding sometimes (even in a show that's about these competitions and clashes), they tend to do that in every show anyway, and these are well-paced for what they are...
That's definitely a weighing you have to do yourself. I initially figured I'd be good with the Legacy one once I found it for a good price, as it remedied the issues I had with the Kingdom one and the color shift seemed too minimal a change.
But the more I saw of the SS86 (and I tried to take...
I agree that packing weapons and such with each character makes perfect sense for this line and story. They could do something like what Spin Master's 4 inch DC stuff does, with iirc blind-packed extra weapons with each figure.
This clearly hasn't been how they've launchrd, but I wonder if...
I remember the Z-Builders, took me a while. Always seemed like a fun concept.
Wild King has always given me a low key Ryusoulger vibe with the modularity and the peg-parts-anywhere thing. Except of course with a broader beast base than just dinos. There may be a more apt Sentai comparison in...
All good points. Man, I'd clean forgotten about all the hoopla about fixing those shoulders (which I did have to do). So much stuff from the last few years has just gotten memory holed.
And yeah, opaque cannon on SS86, looks nice. If I ever get the urge to see it with a clear one, I'll just...
