What am I missing?
IDW1 established their version of the Great War was six million years old.
Which, IIRC, was taken from the G1 show where the Arc crew lies dormant for six million years.
They mentioned that, after the reaction Animated Prowl got, they went back to redesigned Animated Bumblebee and Prime's heads to make sure they were properly "Animated" accurate.
I don't expect Animated Omega Supreme to be that G1-ified. I don't think he'll be a repaint of the Arc either. MAYBE...
Sure, but what I took away from Spotlight: Optimus was that only Omega Supreme could be asked about Nova Prime because he was one of the few characters who was alive back then.
I'm not pulling this out of my ass either. Furman wanted the Great War between the Autobots and Decepticons to have...
IDW kind of messed up the whole TF timeline. Nova Prime was originally presented as this Prime from an era long past, some point between the Thirteen and the modern era.
And then it was revealed that multiple characters alive and kicking today were alive during Nova's era, which was then...
My headcanon is that G1 Megatron was either named after, or named himself after, the "Megatron" in the scriptures. Essentially making it that G1 and BW Megatrons named themselves after each other.
Either way shoehorning The Fallen in as "Megatronus" isn't necessary or welcome 😛
Fully agreed.
My head canon was always that the CoP Megatron was a prophecy about BW Megatron, but for the longest time was just a name in some spiritual texts. G1 Megatron took the name, which would be like people today named "Issac," "Abraham," "Jesus," or "Mohammad."
Then BW Megatron took...
I just think RiD Megs makes a lot of sense. They just did RiD Prime so there's some RiD hype in the air they can capitalize on, the character design with so many modes may prove challenging budget wise at retail, and HasLab RiD Prime is a big boy and probably towers over the original RiD...
Same.
Like... let's be real. Anyone getting an advanced screening of this thing is getting it because they're in good with either Hasbro, Paramount, or both. No one who's a "content creator" in the TF fan community is going to burn those bridges by going "you know... kinda mid."
I want to...
I don't think that "melt people's faces" was meant to imply the figure would have anything to do with melting.
Just something out there and crazy that people would be blown away by.
My guess is RiD Megatron. We got Deathsaurus right after Star Sabre. RiD Megatron right after RiD Optimus would...
I'm a big fan of TLK's score.
I also really dig the opening scene with King Arthur and the Knights of Cybertron. So much so that I began thinking that some sort of TF series set in Medieval Europe would be fun. You could have Knight themed Autobots and Viking themed Decepticons...
Anyway...
I don't really feel strongly about Blitzwing one way or another other than thinking that Triple Takeover is fun.
He's accurate, he's chonky, his limbs are tight. So that's good enough for me.
I just like the colours
My only real issue with Blitzwing was the faux cockpit to replicate an animation error. I keep him mostly displayed in robot mode though so it's not a huge deal.
The Hulk Hands were dumb but easy to ignore.
That's the thing for me. Bumblebee was easily the best live action movie in the franchise, but RotB was weighed down with a lot of the same problems the Bay movies had.
Like... I donno. I felt a bit letdown after Bumblebee.
My personal opinion is that GI Joe needs to embrace the Adventure Team aspect as the military one is just too controversial these days.
You can still have Cobra as the villains, you can even have them affiliated with the US government. But you gotta get away from the reliance on the "US...
