I kinda expect that they'll never actuall mention "Kang" and just keep him Rama-Tut; keep things semi-ambigous so as not to get lumped into MCU narrative by every casual watcher (if they are true about wanting to keep animated stuff seperate from Live Action) but also be "if you know, you know."

So I really wanted to watch Night of the Sentinels. I have the old 5-Volume set on DVD. I decided to compare it to Wikipedia to see if I was missing any episodes. Turns out I actually do have all of the episodes. But the order is way out of whack. Like a bunch of episodes are smack dab in the middle of the wrong season. Why do companies do this?

Probably true.

Not sure if I remember right but I believe the DVD’s were done in air date order and not the production order, which I believe did screw up the chronological order of the episodes.

The episode "Remember It" helped X-Men garner an Emmy nomination in the category of Outstanding Animated Program. Outside of production design work for Ashoka and Loki, no other Disney+ project managed to garner any significant nomination. Though, I think Loki got snubbed, but that's another topic...

Ashoka certainly wasn't Emmy worthy, but it is nice to see X-men get nominated, at least somebody at the Emmys is still rewarding quality

Considering all 5 are technical nominations and not acting I'd say they are in their wheelhouse there.

fair enough, I wasn't going to go look, just in case they were for acting, writing or anything on that level, because I'd like to still have some level of reverence for the emmys lol

Need more Sentinels? These are smaller and articulated, and based on the Classic X-Men arcade game. Here's hoping we get an X-Men 97 series 2 which will get us some of those classic costumes back out there to compliment.

That would be neat! Each season just keep updating the year. Might be hard though since this season is taking part in different timelines.

Not sure why that would matter, since the title is corresponding to when the season would have been airing, not when it necessarily takes place.

Reports are hitting that Marvel is putting some real commitment to X-Men 97, with season 3 and 4 in production. Reportedly, season 3 is nearly complete for scripts, while season 4 is in the conceptual stage.

I suspect season 3 might (following trends seen in season 1 and hinted at in season 2) end up a loose adaption of Onslaught and Hunt for Xavier (with maybe a dash of the “Children of the Atom” arc in there as well). It feels like a natural point from seasons 1 and 2, and by the time the season would have been in production in the 90s (circa 98 for airing in 99), Onslaught would have been a recent “big thing” in the comics.

Not sure where season 4 might go, but I think it might be nice for more stand alone episodes and maybe “micro arcs” instead of the larger arcs seen in season 1 and hinted in season 2. Might be fun for a 5 part run dealing with some space shenanigans like the Phalanx invasion of the Shi’ar Empire.
