Well, this has certainly been an eventful week in the history of Transformers. Maybe not so much for the franchise at large, but for the fandom?
Absolutely huge.
Behind closed doors as Hasbro and believed never to see the light of day again from the bottom of whatever drawer it ultimately found itself in, the "Binder of Revelation" -- the 354 page, $250K+ document that was made to serve as the guiding hand for the brand, from which the likes of Transformers: War for Cybertron, Transformers: Fall of Cybertron, Transformers: Prime, and more were to follow, including later additions such as the 2015 bearer of the name Transformers: Robots in Disguise and, of course, Transformers: Rescue Bots -- has finally been leaked online. Well, one iteration of it, at any rate.
Hmm, maybe some good came of Hasbro abandoning Rhode Island for Boston, after all? But that's only conjecture. Still, if there was ever a time to rediscover old things while moving, this would be it.
In any case, the folks over at TFCon wasted no time in taking advantage of this massive, er, revelation for their 2025 Chicago show, as they put on the following hour-long panel with author Jim Sorenson (of Transformers Legacy and Transformers AllSpark Almanac fame) and former Transformers Creative Manager and co-architect of this very document, Rik Alvarez, hosting:
Suffice to say, there's a lot here. So much that Allspark forum member Sabrblade, who decided to take notes, had to split them into two posts, which you can find here. And even then, that's just glossing over the full contents. Did I mention that this thing is over 300 pages?
Yeah, that's "on your own time" investigation, if you want more than that.
And fortunately, you can do that very thing, thanks to TFW member nune, who is the one responsible for letting this thing run free and wild. And you can see it all for yourself by clicking here.
