It'll be five years and two reboots from now and some random news story about the last batch of ES episodes being about ready for release will pop up.

These have got to be comprised of the missing eight episodes. So probably four episodes spiced together, each?

It sounds like it's two 44 minute specials, so only 4 episodes tops. I'm guessing the last 8 episodes never made it to production, so they just split Season 2 into two seasons, and these specials are built out of whatever scripts and storyboards they had for the remaining 8 episodes, but only the big event portions rather than the stand-alone episode stuff.

If the theory that S2 was originally 26 episodes split 10/8/8 like S1 is true and not an incorrect assumption.

Either way, fantastic news for a series that seemed to be over. I didn't like S2/3 nearly as much as S1, but I'm still happy this series is getting a conclusion.

This has got to be what Nick Roche was referring to back when he tweeted that he was working on some new EarthSpark stuff.

And we should keep our eyes out for Greg Weisman's name in the credits, since he previously mentioned having spent months working on EarthSpark, but whose name was nowhere to be found in any of the credits for any previous season.

I'm glad this is a thing, but this just makes me want new toys, and not just Cyberverse redecos. That Hot Rod is neat, and that Octopunch looks cool.

Shoot, at this point, I’m surprised the last gasp of content made it out before the toy line was COMPLETELY abandoned.

I'm on Amazon Prime's Paramount Plus and clicked season 4.
It seems Legacy of Hope is episode 6 and Hometown Heroes is a doublesized episode 7. Odd.
They're unavailable so far.

Edit: I checked recently added and found both episodes as movies which are available, I was wrong.

Just finished watching both. They sure did pack a whole lot into these two specials.

And yes, Greg Weisman's name is in the credits for the first one.

Glad I'm done with that.

It wasn't bad, just the whole family drama that swung between heavy-handed and super annoying getting in the way of the robot and lore stuff.

Just finished it. I liked it pretty much until the ending. No where near as good as the first season, but not as ass as S2/3. The ending with Megatron was hella rushed, and I really kinda hate an ending that’s essentially returning ES to overall Transformers lore status quo after everything this show’s achieved to break the status quo and move the lore foreward. But… round and round with all of that once more I guess.😒

You can tell the marketing bros got a hold of this season.
