"I am Nexus Prime, the first Power Core Combiner."Or, perhaps more likely, was this going to be a Leader class figure with five simple, even almost Machine Robot Rescue type, combiner parts?

His frame should just be a set of small boxes you can fit any random smaller bot into. The first GoBot Powersuit Combiner!
They stopped doing Core class in United, between 2024-2025. It happened suddenly enough that Dinobot got cancelled despite having tooling made.I wonder if the Original Nexus Plan assumed Core-class limbs. Do we know the timeline of when smaller-than-Deluxe was abandoned as a price point? I mean, we stopped getting them, but that means they stopped designing/making them well before the last wave.
And nothing really prevents some sort of multi-pack, so they still could have done preliminary work even after the memo went out.
Or maybe they decided it would be too similar to Micronus and his Power Suit/Big Wheel?
I forgot we were robbed of a Core Dinobot! Someone at Hasbro needs to find an excuse to make that happen. They stopped doing Core class in United, between 2024-2025. It happened suddenly enough that Dinobot got cancelled despite having tooling made.
That said, Monstructor shows that they could work something out if they wanted to

I still think they ought to continue the Core scale with 2(or more)-packs at a higher price point. Either team sets or vs-packs, but there is still demand for smaller figures among collectors, and I could see parents perceiving a multi-pack as a better value.
He always scaled well with Autobots and Decepticons. Finally, T30 Tankor could be in scale with someone.
I get that they're not sure how to make Thrust and Jetstorm work, but a decent Tankor should not be difficult.
