I wonder if the Original Nexus Plan assumed Core-class limbs. Do we know the timeline of when smaller-than-Deluxe was abandoned as a price point? I mean, we stopped getting them, but that means they stopped designing/making them well before the last wave.

And nothing really prevents some sort of multi-pack, so they still could have done preliminary work even after the memo went out.

Or maybe they decided it would be too similar to Micronus and his Power Suit/Big Wheel?

His frame should just be a set of small boxes you can fit any random smaller bot into. The first GoBot Powersuit Combiner!

His altmode even looks a lot like the Power Warrior jet! Don't make me want this figure!

Seriously, though, with combiners abandoning the Scramble City combination style, Power Suits would make sense to provide limbs for a universal combiner core.

They stopped doing Core class in United, between 2024-2025. It happened suddenly enough that Dinobot got cancelled despite having tooling made.

That said, Monstructor shows that they could work something out if they wanted to

I forgot we were robbed of a Core Dinobot! Someone at Hasbro needs to find an excuse to make that happen.

I still think they ought to continue the Core scale with 2(or more)-packs at a higher price point. Either team sets or vs-packs, but there is still demand for smaller figures among collectors, and I could see parents perceiving a multi-pack as a better value.

Well, in prior lines they had deluxes packaged with 'legends' or whatever they were called back then for various store exclusives or the like. Monstructor, as was noted, is an entire six pack of remolded Cores. So it's clearly possible, it's just a question of it they think they can turn a profit if they do it.

They did say as the price point was being phased out that they were open to pack-ins and multipacks in the future, and we've seen both (the Frumble mold was packed in with Soundwave; Ramhorn seems comparable to Steeljaw and was packed in with Perceptor; these combiner packs).

I'd like more cassette multipacks. Make a new non-gang molded, non-tiny Eject/Rewind. Flip Sides. Cobalt Sentries. etc

Don't stop at Dinobot. Do the Beast Wars cast in core class.

(I know, wishes and horses and all that...)

I get that they're not sure how to make Thrust and Jetstorm work, but a decent Tankor should not be difficult.

The basic-sized Motorcycle Drone toy got Thrust pretty accurate; I think the only real problem is it can't stand up on the wheel. Adding a kickstand or even just including a clear stand or something with a hypothetical Deluxe might work.

Jetstorm, OTOH, I think basically transforms via magic.

Thrust seems workable as a Deluxe, yeah. Throw in a Thrustinator-wasp from the finale, a smoke-trail/burning-rubber stand, maybe a blast effect.

Jetstorm will have to be an approximation, but I think it could work with a new from-scratch take that hides most of the jet stuff in the upper body and just has panels and fins folding out to be the bottom half of the robot (and includes a stand).

Alternatively, iirc the TFCC also came up with a concept for a retool of the T30 Deluxe Armada Starscream (BWU?), and we have a Voyager of that to work with now.
