I want the WSJ and co CALL him on that. I think he’s trying to bluff to get an easy settlement, but I’d love to see him get called on this nonsense.
Which means the lawyers quitting the DoJ has greatly affected his ability to sue folks OR his personal lawyers told him there's no way he can win this and won't touch it with a ten foot pole.
I mean, let's be real for a second here. It's the wall street journal and rupert murdoch: we KNOW they're lying. It's literally their whole shtick. But I hope they fight this so we can see if they can successfully lie to a judge.

I think you're really talking about Republican voters rather than MAGA?
MAGA is not in the process of realizing he lied to them. They are in the process of realizing that Comey, Obama, and Biden made up the Epstein files and Trump didn't find out until he was President and got access to them.
No, not yet. But they are getting there. The magaists are the ones driving the epstein fury right now though. It's what they want, they're literally demanding it of the guy they've never asked for anything from. They're the ones that won't let it go.
And eventually... they'll get it. Between democrat efforts to get it out there, and the fact that even right wing propaganda talking heads are demanding it, trump refusing to release it is just making them angrier and less likely to drop it and move on.
So no matter what happens: it's bad for trump. He releases redacted and spliced information? His base screams that he broke his promise. He actually releases the full, unredacted epstein files? His base screams at him for lying. He promised them that it was full of nothing but democrat deep staters. That it would destroy the left. But it's full of a mixed bag of rich assholes.

Well, I think it is possible he will pull this off, but as I sit here and think about it I DO see one problem that might be pretty hard. He is trying to tell conspiracy-minded people that they have been tricked into believing a hoax. That's not a one-man job.
