Better headline: "I'm Being Grifted by This Well-Documented Grifter and for Some Reason That Surprises Me"

Also acting head of NASA has no space or science background, as per normal for this administration:
This feels like the natural end result of decades of the GOP proving that the government is broken by breaking it themselves.

Only reason they put Duffy up as acting NASA chief was to get someone who hates Musk in place to really screw with him.

Ironbite-that and to gut NASA.

I guess one would normally expect such a successful and high-profile grifter to be a little cleverer than just collecting credit card numbers and then hitting them with blatantly fraudulent charges. And maybe there was a time when he would have been. But at this point, why bother? He could probably personally saunter into Fort Knox and walk off with their entire stash of gold, confident that nothing will come of it beyond a lot of people getting angry on TV.

I think you're underestimating the satisfaction he gets from grifting.

He had already attempted suicide once on July 24. They put him on suicide watch and then took him off it again only six days later after an assessment by a so far unnamed psychiatrist.

I'm not generally given to looking for conspiracy, but there are some genuine questions there.

I mean, if you had been caught doing what Epstein had done, and it was already known by the general public, would you have any reason left to want to go on living? Even the prospect of selling out everyone else out of spite would only fend off the intrusive thoughts for so long, and all it would take is one moment of simultaneous clarity and opportunity...

There is a reason suicide happens a lot in jail/prison. it would not at all surprise me that Epstein did, in fact, kill himself without any prompting or real "help" from others. Really, the conspiracy for me is who let him get away with it.
Yes, it could honestly be just lazy ******* guards, but it could just as easily be something else.

That’s where most of my conspiratorial disposition comes from. I work in medicine in a monitoring role. If I know I have a patient with a high profile or who’s under “more than usual” scrutiny…I’m going to make DAMN sure to stay focused. To cover my own ass, if nothing else.

The fact he was left unattended despite just coming off a suicide watch? Sometimes the line between malicious and indifferent are pretty fine.

FB friend:
It says a lot about how ignorant America has become that its people need a live demonstration before they will believe all sorts of things that should be obvious, such as:

1: It's bad to make an entire country subject to the whims of one man.
2: It's a bad idea to fire your weather forecasters.
3: Emergency preparedness is a good thing.
4: Mass vaccination is good for public health.
5: Cutting taxes for the rich won't benefit the rest of us in any way.
6: Pumping over 30 billion tons of extra CO2 into the atmosphere every year just might have an effect sooner or later.

It's going to take Joe Rogan ten more years to slowly figure out that there are potential risks in giving absolute power to a malignant narcissist, and when he does figure it out, he's going to act as if his mind was blown by a revelation that nobody saw coming.
