I lol'ed, but let's be honest: fElon doesn't give a fig what the government does with his SNES StarFox rejects, as long as he gets paid.
And he's getting paid military-spending money, so probably pretty close to retail and still an order of magnitude more than they're worth.

Assuming Big Huey is being factual here, bricking a customer's car WHILE they are on the road ON PURPOSE because you didn't like a song they made about your vehicle is INSANE. Whoever made that decision should be arrested for public endangerment. I mean seriously....

Not just whoever made the decision to brick it, everyone whose designs contributed to it being physically possible to do in the first place.

wonko the sane?

You may test that assumption at your convinience.

They would probably simply resort to armed tax men roaming the streets: taking what they felt would be "fair".

the credit industry won't die. they don't care, they'll still assign arbitrary scores to people so its easier to separate the haves and the have nots. Even if there are issues like this, it doesn't matter to them. money is the only thing that matters.

Remember a few years ago when literally one whole third of the country had their data leaked, including SSN? It didn't destroy the system then, nor did it lead to all those people getting identity-thefted, although for the life of me I don't know why.

a third of the country you say?

Roughly the same number of people that routinely support trump, you say?

So glad someone found something to reduce the amount of time Elon has available to annoy everyone else.

You said a third of the country had their SSN information leaked. And trump has a roughly consistent 38% constant and unyielding support.

Conspiracy theory: no he doesn't, he acquired the leaked info and faked it. voted himself into office with stolen identities.

So I take it there's not actually a significant number of shareholders who are unhappy with his leadership, despite how obviously disastrous it's been.

Sounds about right, honestly. What's probably happened is that everyone who was fed up with him just sold off their stock and moved on.

The thing is Tesla's fundamentals never justified its crazy stock price. All it's ever really had going for it is Elon's peculiar ability to generate empty hype. They could replace Elon and their car sales might recover somewhat but that's not where their value ever was anyway.
