This feels like a big one.

Episode 13

The Micronauts quiz Biotron on his new skill. He seems to know random words but sentences not so much. Meanwhile Karza throws a Kylo Ren fit over losing Alpha Tron. Then he decides he needs to get a giant on his side. (No idea what he did to the Junkyard owner.)

Then...Flashback That Will Be The Whole Darn Episode:

Dr Karza presenting a world changing fuel cell to the High Council. It combines Micronium and something called Prototell to form a new super energy Microtell. They name him head of the Science Guild and offer him the title of Baron. He's super happy and hugs the Acroyear rep (who's an a$$hole). Then Henrick Pelham calls. They've got an SoS rescue mission. Karza happily accepts his new cape of office and runs off.

The Micronaut team Space Bridges in to their mission. It's Pel's Dad, Karza, Torro (the other Time Traveller from the ep where Xant and Quin go home), a female space glider and another lady with a real Evil-Lyn vibe. The place they appear has been destroyed. There are only 3 survivors, white-skinned and angular who report they were attacked by Pirates from Lobros. Henrick wants to take them to safety but Karza is concerned that helping them could put the Lobros target on Microsia. He feels helping "Aliens" is not worth endangering Microsia. Henrick overrules his friend.

Karza gets really pissy and leaves as soon as they get home. At his lab we see he's already almost finished Alpha Tron. He tries to charge up his armor with his new fuel cell and it malfunctions, overloading and blasting him back. In the aftermath it's sparking and glowing angry red instead of the cool blue Micronium usually is. Also Red Energy Tentacles are whipping from Karza's palm.

Henrick's team (sans Karza), and (sane) Quin attend a morning meeting. Their boss seems to be the same guy in charge of Phen's Space Glider Academy from that other episode.

In his lab Karza creates more Red Micronium and starts to enfuse his armor with it before Henrick arrives to check if he's ok. Karza is angry and "not himself" according to Henrick. He delivers a gift from the Aliens they saved. A (the) Ceremonial mask. This seems to calm Karza who likes the mask and says thank you when Henrick leaves.

Unfortunately he wakes a short time later to find the Aliens they rescued ransacking his lab looking for weapons to get revenge on the Lobros. They grab the fuel cell and Karza lashes out with his energy tentacles, taking over another mind for the first time. One of them throws a vial of acid in his face to complete the Two Face/Keldor Supervillian Origin. The refugees flee and Karza channels Jack Napier and decides to don the mask over his ruined face.

Karza goes to a stunned Henrick and refuses medical help. His Xenophobia and Paranoia is now off the charts. He sees all outsiders and aliens as coming for his power source and plans to demand the high council banish them all or he will make them see his way.

They of course dismiss him. Pel is concerned but Karza tells him to go to the morning meeting, call everyone in for it, and they'll discuss it then. But in the morning he doesn't show. Quintillus however has foreseen that if Torro goes on the next mission he will die, so she offers to take his place with Henrick's team. The team ditches the meeting to go after Karza without explaining to anyone (something that in retrospect was a bad idea). Karza calls to thank Henrick for keeping all the Micronauts tied up in the meeting while he sets bombs to blow up the Historical Building and frame the refugees, so that all Microsia will see Aliens and Outsiders should never be trusted.

The evil-ish lady on the team apparently named Sinnesy says they should get backup first, but Henrick says there's no time. As the rest of the team rushes off she hangs back and gets a really sly evil I'm Gonna Betray You Now look on her face before going the other way.

Quintillus arrives just as Karza and his new robots activate the bombs. They fight while the others start to take out the bombs. Gammatron accidentally detonates one. Karza almost takes out Henrick when their Space Glider lady shows up in the Space Cruiser and blasts the Bad Guy. They load the bombs and Karza's Microtell generator in the ship and Quintillus opens a space bridge for them to dump it all far away. She will bring them back when they have done so.

Just as they go the High Council forces arrive. They call the Micronauts traitors a for helping Karza (ignoring Quins explanations) and sentence them to "conviction without trial" (ouch topical) leading Quin away to life in prison.

Back in the Present Day Karza arrives at Arliss Dunne's house to form an alliance with him.

Developments:
1) Karza's Backstory
2) The Lobros are Crustacion Aliens from the original Micronauts toyline.
3) The High Council are more then jerks they come off as outright evil.
4) Xenophobia and Sentencing people to life in prison specifically without due process trial. Mmmm. This show was very sadly ahead of its time.
5) It is cute that Gammatron originally couldn't talk like Beta Tron and Karza thought that was annoying so purposefully gave it a voice. Ooops.

-ZacWilliam, that was a lot of story squeezed into one long flashback.

Episode 14:

Phen and Xant are fighting over who gets to train Biotron in speaking. Pel tells them to share the job.

The goal is to decode Biotrons broken speech and find Karza's base. They quickly settle on the Junkyard, but when they try to head out with Cam they discover his mom has made a huge brunch because she invited his crush Andy and her mom over without telling him. So the Micronauts head out without Cam.
They find Karza's refrigerator base but it's empty.

Meanwhile Karza is at Arliss's house interrupting him as he tries to watch My Little Pony: Frendship is Magic. (One with a train.) We learn Karza has named the Red Micronium "Dark Micronium" (shades of Transformers: Prime). He sends Arliss and Gammatron back to their old base to retrieve their Microsia tech,

Arliss is too weak to open the fridge. He breaks the handle. But he does manage to drag the whole thing into the back of his pickup. Unfortunately trapping the Micronauts inside.

Back at home Mom is telling Andy embarrassing stories. So they retreat to his room to look at tech. She's working on a solar cell and he has some ideas to help.

The Micronauts try to get the fridge to tip but thanks to Arliss's bad driving it falls out of the truck, rolls down a hill and lands in a lake. They're trapped in the wrecked base as it fills with water. Pellam uses his helmets air supply to swim the dizzy Phen free. The helmet is cracked and he can't get the others out the same way. Instead they weld the fridge shut to prevent it from flooding more. But before they can get it out Pel's helmet fails and he starts to drown. Biotron activates a new power Merging with Pellam to save him. (They are mind-melded and Pellam's body is now sitting in a control chair inside Biotron) Now Biotron speaks with Pellam's voice and together as one they rocket the fridge to shore. Biotron explains "Micro-melding" is like Ener-chance but between a Micronaut and Biotron. Biotron almost has full sentences down. From listening to Phen and Xant argue so much.

Arliss and Gammatron arrive and recover the Baron's microtech. Meanwhile Andy and Cam fix her solar cell. She wants to work with him more and gives him her number so they can meet up later in the week. Still he gets real nervous when she looks too close at his tech and she has a curious and slightly concerned look back at the room as they head downstairs.

Developments:
1) Andy is cemented as Cams friend, rather than just crush or acquaintance.
2) Karza and Arliss alliance cemented.
3) Arliss is a Brony cemented.
4) Biotron can speak normal by the end of the episode.
5) Micro-melding introduced. I can picture that big hollow Biotron toy with room for the other figures to sit inside and damn it I want it to exist.

Gear Combination:
1) Acroyear and Biotron Micro-meld.

-ZacWilliam, Phen shares some Micronaut curses at least one of which sounds really bad.

Um, which pony ep with a train? I remember a mystery ep where Rarity plays detective on a running train.

I don't think it's the mystery on a train one because that takes place mainly on a train. It's a few seconds of the train from the outside going through some hills and then arriving somewhere and then all the pony's together in that place.

-ZacWilliam, There's nothing to really identify it that pops out at me. But it's been a while since I watched FiM.

Episode 15:

Seems to pick up right after last ep. as the Micronauts explain Micro-melding to Cam. They all want to try it. Oberon gets to go first and crashes Biotron but his verdict is "It Rules."

Back on Microsia, Torro (the scared Time Traveler now Bounty Hunter from Pel's Dad's old team) turns in a Vessarian (Xants race) to a hulking red Lobros (Lobster guy) for the bounty. But it's a trap and Law Walkers (the police) surround him, arrest him, and drag him before Evil-Lyn (Sinnesy) and the rest of the huge dicks that are the High Council.

Despite knowning that Sinnesy sold out his team to get a spot on the council Torro makes a deal to clear himself and get a reward if he leads the council to Karza and Pel's team. The Council assigns him a "help" escort: two new prototype robots programmed with the skills of the greatest warriors of the past: Acroyear IIs (Acroyear IIs were a separate Micronauts toy from the regular Acroyear)

On Earth at Breakfast, Cam's Mom has a vision of Arliss's house and Karza. A side effect of him controlling her mind last ep. Cam decides to try and get info from her vision without making her suspicious.

Meanwhile Xant and Biotron meld into Bio-Xant but afterwords Biotron feels kinda sick. Then Quintillous accidently triggers a micro-meld and Biotron shorts out and freezes up trapping her inside. Just then Toro and the 2s arrive via Space Bridge and quickly take out the whole team. They all end up in energy cages as he asks the location of Quin and Karza. Torro is about to burn the house down when he hears Cam and Mom downstairs. He decides to torture them for info. Quin finally gets spit out. Turns out her powers are mystic and don't interface well with Bio's tech. No, micro-melding for her.

Quin battles the 2's and Toro solo and does really surprisingly well. She handles the 2s deftly and tries to get Quin to join them but he rejects Time Traveler code and refuses. He does get the upper hand but she has a vision and sics Cam's cat Ross on the 2's. He bats them out the window and gives chase. Meanwhile the vision has made Quin remember how to make Space Bridges. She takes Quins staff and makes two portals right across from each other (Anyone remember Soundwave's fate in TF: Prime) she throws Torro's staff in and when he reaches for it she pushes him in after it. He glows screams and explodes then the portals vanish. The Micronauts are free and Quin cheerfully explains she broke the rules of time and space and trapped Torro in a space loop for the rest of his life.

Biotron wakes up and needs a recharge. Cam peaks up and yells at them all to keep it down and then looks confused at the faces they give him.

Developments:
1) I think this might be the first time we see a Lobros.

2) Quin is kind of a bad ass. Soloing two super Acroyear robots and another Time Traveler and finishing him off fairly brutally. But she's so cheerful and goofy doing it that you kinda forget how brutal Torro's fate is.

3) And she can now make Space Bridges again.

Gear Combinations:
1) Micro-melding OB, Xant and Quin. We learn Magic like Quins disrupts the melding but also it seems like it's very power consumptive (hence the feeling sick after doing OB and Xant right in a row.)

-ZacWilliam, and that's a series wrap on Torro.

Episode 16:

Beta and Gammatron bring Karza a little piece of Micro Tech. He needs something bigger for his new plan. He wires Betatron into Arliss's metal detector to turn it into a micronium detector and they head out on a group expedition.

Meanwhile Pel isn't sleeping because he can't track Karza and is stuck reacting. OB jokingly asks if anyone has any Dark Micronium so they could track Karza and everyone is taken aback when Biotron raises his hand. Quick enough they have him plugged into a computer and a lock on Karza. Quin is invited, in particular, given her success kicking butt last ep. Cam however is given the day off as Karza would see him coming.

The micronauts arrive just after the baddies and have to save a young woman from being run down by a car due to Arliss accidentally removing a stop sign. Karza sees it happen and realizes their concern for humans is their weakness. Karza leads them to an Amusement Park. Arliss discovers microsource has been incorporated into the parks roller coaster track.

Meanwhile the Micronauts almost get trampled by a crowd. Pel and Phen make the mistake of hiding in a cotton candy maker. Oberon hides on one of those high drop rides. While Xant and Quin end up in wack-a-mole and he is almost killed by Mark. Lastly Biotron gets in a gun fight inside a carnival duck shooting game. (I've never seen a carnival game use actual bb guns in real life.)

Karza doesn't want to wait so Arliss improvises a plan to shut the coaster down so they can take the track. Karza says No. They are taking the track now. While the ride is running. With a bunch of kids on board. Arliss refuses to hurt, possibly kill, a bunch of kids. This is not what he signed up for. But Beta and Gamma have already started and when he tries to walk away Karza takes over his mind, making him a Red-eye Zombie.

The Micronauts see Arliss take the track. Pel orders the others to save the kids and he and OB go after Karza. Phen enerchanges her wings and Xants gauntlets to the Hoverbike and use it to Spider-man style stop the car just before it hits the gap. Biotron hangs an out of order sign.

Pel jumps Karza but the bad guy is ready and has Arliss smash him beneath his foot. OB finds his unconscious body and they rush him home to their med-bay. Broken bones, damaged glands, internal bleeding. Phen is furious with him for chasing Karza alone. Pel regains consciousness and makes a weak joke just as Cam returns home.

Developments:
1) Mostly we learn that Arliss may be skeezy but he's not on Karza's level of villainy. He's not up for killing, or even hurting, kids.
2) And the good guys now have away to be proactive and not just wait around for Karza schemes.

Gear Combinations:
1) Pen's Glider Wings and Xants gauntlets with the Cycle to super charge it.

-ZacWilliam, gotta have an "everyone visits an amusement park" episode. It's not quite the american equivalent of a "Hot Springs" anime ep but it's not too far off.
