Well, you know those Enterprises all look the same from the back. :p That makes sense it's from SNW.

The federation was the only civilization that could rival the borg in scope, scale and technology. It was literally something they had never come across before, and would likely never see again.

They kept it around to induce selection pressure on themselves. If there's always a something they cannot beat: they will constantly adapt and not stagnate.

What?

There’s numerous Galactic Civilizations that dwarf (or at least rival) the Federation in all those things.

The Dominion, The First Federation, etc

The Romulans and Klingons seemed to be roughly equal by TNG as well.

Nope. The big giveaway is the gap between the impulse engines. On the OG/movie refit, there were two vents, but they were conjoined. The SNW Enterprise has them fully separated.
Also note the round nacelles. The movie-era ships all had the flat art-deco nacelles.

Specifically, this is the DSC/SNW Enterprise, which does incorporate the movie-era angled pylons rather than the straight TOS ones.

Saw s4 ep9 Once La'an a Time.

I'm not fond of La'an so not wild about the arc but I love the setting and circumstances.

Dang costumes are distracting, hahahaha

Once again, Anson Mount gets to act out cool bits and play funky characters and still gets sidelined, ugh.

I want to revisit this again but not with La'an as the central character.

Have we lost Pelia?!? Nooooooo!

I was disappointed at lack of triple dragon fight. The first dragon reveal was awesome!

I thought we were cheated out of seeing a werewolf and wow, actually werewolf! Cool!

Una is sidelined again. Unexpected kiss.

Anson loves playing silly characters, doesn't he?

Long hair Spock is Sybok, haha

Love the necklace reveal. Love the dog.

Kirk La'an bleh to me. Fake crying hilarious.

What happened to Chapel? She'd have been the white wizard. But it was the Vulcan lady wizard?

I really wanted to like this episode (I really liked the first time they did it) but this one just didn't do it for me. It had some nice moments, but overall it was just meh for me.

Also for those who missed it

Besides Kirk basically having Westley vibes, there were a couple very obvious ones. I caught the first one, and had suspicions on the second one I confirmed after.
The cook was named Max, and just so happened to be a "Miracle-worker". Miracle Max! (and as I'm writing this, I just realized this was a very missed opportunity to have a copy of Scotty, but then it'd lose a bit of the reference.)
And then Pelia leaving to hook up with him? Well Pelia's actress also played the wife of Miracle Max in Princess Bride!

Saw s4 ep10 Tomorrow's Enterprise

This was the season finale? Why isn't it a Pike episode, darn it!

Anyhow, it's a good ep but I'd have wanted a different finale. It really could have been a good finale too, with what happened but it wasn't encompassing enough.

Was it a homage ep? I can see two different possibilities but since I didn’t watch the references, I'm not sure.

I thought it was Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure at first. It would have been so much fun. But then the middle twist happened with the body switch and I don’t know what that is anymore.

It really is a finale, seeing how everything will look like in one year. But it centered on saving Scotty so wasn't encompassing, y'know?

Looooved seeing the more alien crew members, from the animated series. The cat barely moved in the split second she appeared tho, boo.

Another space baby? Wasn't there already a space baby in the... documentary ep? I forget.

Uhura Scotty, where in heaven's did that come from? Nothing in TOS, right?

Chapel had a lot of scenes here. I feel like its to showcase the funky hairstyles. The dudes barely changed so they needed TOS Uhura and Chapel to display the retro hairdo, haha

La'an is dead dead dead. Maybe.

Y'know, it might have been an excellent time to show future Sulu. Or not.

I did like how lots of people are paying attention and realized that Uhura wasn't Uhura.

Somehow, I liked the initial premise first, when the past and future were mind talking to each other and pulling off Bill and Ted time stuff. The body switch was just normal.

Guess that's is for SNW s4. It went by soooooo fast.

If anything, it seemed like it could have been meant to be a "Kirk Year One" pilot

I actually only caught Skorr in the back on my watch through, not M'ress or the other guy. Went to find pictures after since I wasn't sure exactly when it was:

Funny thing is in the comics set in the movie era, Scotty and M'ress were an item.

Yeah the first one is Skorr, an Aurellian from TAS or at least of the same species. Also was reminded that the Uhura/Scotty thing is actually setup for stuff that happened in Star Trek V.

I actually liked the Casablanca one myself. Calls back to old TOS episodes like "A Piece of the Action".
