It's going to be a long wait. Luckily, I do still have a Thundercracker and my BotCon Reflector to get me through until March.

Unless Part 2 ends up being just a set to finish off the remaining named Decepticons from "More Than Meets the Eye, Parts 1-3" who haven't yet been given the Dramatic Capture treatment, which I guess would be Skywarp, Ravage, and Blue Frenzy/Rumble. Maybe they could add in Buzzsaw and Red Rumble/Frenzy to bulk out the set and round out the initial 1984 lineup.
There’s no memorable Decepticon-only scenes with the leftover characters in MTMTE part 2 after scrolling past the Youtube upload. They may just make the filler set like you mention.

Piling voyager Soundwave on Hound would be hilarious though.

I'll second wanting a G1 toy colored Thundercracker, it was my first Transformer. A red Bumblebee was my second but that's really unlikely as everyone would just think he's Cliffjumper.

Then by pure coincidence the pack gets moved up to January, it's delivered on February 2, Thundercracker tries to see what Reflector sees, Reflector sees his shadow, and there's four million years more of war.

I would have really liked a Selects Thundercracker in that deep, rich toy-colored deco, with creamy chocolate and nougat. Mmm...

I don't even like this mold and I'd buy it.

Part of the reason why I think that this set appeals to me, is that it really conjurs up the old (good) feeling of "Takara's release is different". I used to love waiting to see what deco choices they would go with, and I miss a little of the fanfare around that. Arguably, most of the Dramatic Capture series releases do that, but this one in particular strikes a chord.

I think the best modern Thundercracker color released 'recently' was retail Classics, I got one for my birthday, years after my G1. But most of them after always seemed lighter for some reason.

I'm debating the Selects Refractor in toy colors. I had the mail-away, and it's in stock at BBTS still.

They’re changing Thundercracker’s tailfin stripes to be animation accurate vs the reuse of Starscream’s the initial stock photos has.

Gonna be honest, I never noticed they were different.
It's an easy thing to forget, since the tailfins vanish in robot mode. That only leaves you shots of the jet mode where the tailfins are on the screen. After that, you just have to hope they didn't mix up the character models/color them wrong anyway.

Really doesn’t help that Skywarp and Thundercracker were basically replaced by the coneheads as the decepticon cannon fodder in season 2 and died in the movie.

...Before inexplicably reappearing alive and well at Starscream's coronation. :p

Thundercracker and Skywarp faked their deaths and returned to Earth where, with the help of Elvis, got jobs as roadies helping him tour around the US posing as an impersonator of himself, as described in his autobiographical work "Bubba Ho Tep". After his injury they went their separate ways, Thundercracker becoming a chili-cooking contest champion in Texas. Skywarp, unable to leave the Stage Life behind, remains in Vegas using a series of different Pretender Shells to continue living the dream as a Stage Magician working The Strip.

...Wait, this isn't the Head Canon thread...?

Well Elvis did just go home, didn't he? I think that the TC & Skywarp that got reformated in the movie were their distant cousins, twice removed, the originals likely had a bad feeling about that mission and quickly got them to take it up and, well the rest is history!

The actual truth is, many of the original Transformers were so sick of the war that they just kitbashed a lot of Insecticon corpses, spray painted themselves black, or even made life size decoys of themselves entirely out of coal dust, in an attempt to quietly escape the carnage, sneaking away after their own funerals. Several took to using somewhat off-model shells to disguise themselves as Transformers-tribute idol group, as documented in their Kotobukia merchandising, with the three seekers being the main act, Megatron often posing as their fanboy-hating manager. Starscream's voice was known for being absolutely angelic. Unknown to each other's group, Optimus, Bumblebee, and Cliffjumper, who had been making the rounds at anime cons as famous cosplayers, have been big fans for years, and they've all met up at those creepy Handshake events, none the wiser. So far the only one who's figured it out is Nemesis Prime, who finds the whole thing too confusing to even know who to tell about it.

This takes place in the same continuity where everyone claims the Marvel Comic and Sunbow Cartoon are the same timeline, if anyone was wondering.

(I figure after all.these decades none of my theories are any crazier or harder to document with official products and fiction than anything else the fandom has come up with. Also in this, the cassettes are food-based BotBots. Rumble is bread, Frenzy is stew).
