Watched the new Samurai Troopers. Way more violent than the original. Interesting and different premise. Action is great. Looking forward to more. Main guy is definitely a lot different than Ryo. Great villain designs. Very excited.

No idea if this is teasing another season, but time will hopefully tell.

I watched it and was like "MEH!!" Not a fan of the art style, the story was pretty shallow from the get go, I'll likely give it a chance over the next couple of eps, about the only thing that seems logical is the command centre is aboard a train, the four out of the loosers who were given the bracelets were clearly unsuited to be holding them and instead of being heroes, they were nothing more than a group of uncaring loosers more intersted in lining their pockets despite the fact the world is under attack!

That was the point of the setup though. They were just PR fodder for that Rising Sun party, and meant to contrast with the upcoming folks who actually end up with them. Interesting that they put the symbol on the back of the neck instead of the forehead this time though. And Nasti stayed around from the original series.

Just been watching the second ep of Fate/Strange Fake, I was totally laughing at the end of the ep as things looked like a showdown and one of the characters saying that nobody could touch them until the overseer of the Holy War does something unexpected and got me laughing!

If anyone hasn't watched it, Anne Shirley is delightful.

Netflix really has an issue with nudity in anime. Magic Knight Rayearth was added today, and while I haven't watch a LOT of the episodes, I don't recall enough to warrant the "TV-MA" rating they slapped on it. Most of the nudity I recall is the "Barbie boobs" in the opening, used in an artistic manner. The same show is/was on Tubi with a TV-14 (maybe even a TV-PG) rating. The new Ramna 1/2 is also slapped with a TV-MA...even though you can watch the original (with far more explicit nudity) over on Hulu/Disney+ with a rating of TV-14.
But then you have the Little Witch Academia series use the term "crap" and some fairly intense imagery get a measly TV-Y7.

I don't get it, but it seems a particular issue with how Netflix is dealing with anime as a genre.

We got some Dragon Ball franchise announcements!

First up, we have a(nother) remake of Dragon Ball Super's first saga. Dragon Ball Super Beerus, which will feature new animation and improvements to the TV version of the story. I'm not sure if they're going to do the same for the other Super Sagas that followed, but it looks nice, at least.

Next up, we have a new game. Age 1000! Featuring...some guy! I don't know who this is, and I'm pretty sure we don't know his name yet, , but Toriyama drew him, so we're basing this whole game around him, I guess. Seriously though, I could see this maybe turning out to be Trunks' future grandchild or something, if this takes place in the far future. That's pure speculation, though. This ALMOST looks like it could be a beat-em-up instead of a fighting game, but it's hard to tell from just this trailer.

Finally, and the thing I'm most excited for, is that they're finally doing a anime adaptation of the next Super Saga from the manga, the Galactic Patrol Arc! We're finally moving forward in adapting the manga. Hopefully, someone's planning how they want Super as a whole to end, right now. We also got this neat 40th Anniversary video to go along with the announcement, so check it out!

I guess that's why I've been seeing some DB clips appearing on my Youtube front page for shorts of late. I was watching the most resent DB series but then I just got bored part of the way through, it just lacks the magic that makes the original and Z feel speical and about halfway through, I just stopped as it wasn't really that gripping

Some of the current season shows I'm really enjoying:
Oshi no Ko is back for season 3. Thankfully it's on Crunchyroll so I don't have to pay for Hi-Dive again. Still in it for the revenge plot, but the behind-the-scenes look w/ the entertainment industry is still interesting. I'm not expecting a happy end, but don't let anything too bad happen to Kana!

You and I Are Polar Opposites. Rom com w/ a gyaru girl and her quiet love interest. Gyarus sure are popular right now. This story is just adorable and hits the feels of being awkward and in love.

Tamon's B Side. An otaku girl becomes the housekeeper for her fave male idol, Tamon, and gets to see the side he hides from his fans. This show is hilarious and plays up the ridiculous situation for fun. The latest ep just took a turn, we'll see what happens!

How will they keep random people from finding it? Is it deep enough that you'd need special equipment to retrieve it?

I suppose it's far enough out in the ocean, that they're not really worried about someone random finding it.

But...I assume part of the idea is that there's a chance someone COULD find it. It's a treasure. It's MEANT to be found! I assume it's hidden pretty well. But, I think he's assuming someone will go out and try and find it. That's kind of part of the fun. Even if it is someone random. Why else advertise it?

Plus, it's at the bottom of the ocean. I assume they have some way to track it. But, not just anyone can get something off the bottom of the ocean. You're going to have to go on a adventure if you want it!

I can't help but think they're gonna retrieve it when the series is over, and it's just gone. No one reported finding it. There's little to no evidence of what took it. Just gone. (That would be pretty funny, though).

If they remember where they dropped it, for we know it could be in a location where the tides will have it shift miles away or it will get buried under the sand and sedment to be forgotten

Well, it seems like fans have already figured out a pretty solid general location for where it is. Never underestimate the nerds! Even if it makes a real-life treasure hunt WAY less exciting in real life.

There's a non-zero chance someone could find it by the end of the day.

Personally, I was thinking it could be around Kumamoto Prefecture. Since it was Oda's old hometown and all. Shows what I know!

....Anyone want to make any guesses about what it actually says, before we find out?

Personally, I do feel like even if it isn't a joke, it won't mean too much to us, right now. We still lack the context for what it will mean.

We'll still need to read the rest of the story, to really understand what it means.

...But, it doesn't hurt to guess.

I'm going to guess it's:

The One Piece is..."Binks sake". I really feel like Bink's sake will play a bigger role in the endgame of the manga. But, the big question is, "what are you meant to USE it for?" Personally, I think it's going to be used as a peace offering of sorts, to a group of people who have been wronged in the past. But...it COULD also end up getting used as rocket fuel! The Strawhats need a way to get to the Moon, somehow!

And.

Monkey D Luffy is..."reincarnating". I feel like there are hints that Luffy, specifically has had multiple past lives. Plus, Oda has been slowly making all his past work canon in the main story. We just got Gil Bastar as part of Rocks' crew. So...how likely is it that BOTH versions of Romance Dawn are actually canon to One Piece? As "past lives" that Luffy has lived through before, sometime in the distant past?

So, the note will say "Binks Sake" and "Reincarnating". Final answer!
