It is a surprising choice. Unless he's not supposed to be Optimus, but just a different guy with a vaguely Optimus-like helmet and is in Team USA Colors that also happen to be Optimus colors.

Why on earth would you name a sport where the ball is 95% controlled with the feet Football? Clearly that name should be reserved for a sport where kicking is something done occasionally and as a last resort.

I have no strong feelings about soccer one way or the other, so that aspect of the figure doesn't appeal to me at all, but damn if that wouldn't be a good base for a small-scale Primus remold.

That's true! I forgot that we did literally just get Megatron as a large cannon, albeit an olde-timey one. I even have that toy, just totally slipped my mind at the moment.

I've been saying for years that a large, tow-behind sort of Howitzer would be a great alt-mode for Megatron. He's still be a gun, but not a handgun.
