It's nice to see Swerve and Swindle! Blanker is kinda cool, but I think I'm good with the Legacy release. I like that we've got Mini Cons again, but not to the tune of $80. Everything else, including the SDCC stuff, is cool, but definitely not "must haves" for me.

LG is the version that I have, too, and the Headmaster gimmick is so worth it for the lil Ghost Starscream noggin.

This was a great read. I will echo the sentiment above, and say that it felt good to read something without a thousand ads blinking around me as I tried to focus. I particularly liked the Photo Flashback article. Good stuff!

Very good review - and thorough. I am also guilty of doing exactly what Dave did re: Victory Saber and Deathsaurus (okay, and Fire Convoy, if I'm honest!). I don't like that I haven't yet engaged with them, but I've bought myself a new display shelf, and have vowed to make them the stars of it.

I think one of the things that sticks in my craw about this "new" version, is that Shockwave kinda deserves to be a little bigger and taller, IMO. They've redone both Soundwave and Megs in the Leader Class, and to me, Shockwave just looks so small next to them.

Had a death in the family and am now catching up on the last week of toy happenings. Great to finally see stock photos of Swindle. Not feeling the jeep-with-trailer mode, but it doesn't really matter. Everyone else looks pretty good, but I don't have much interest in getting them.

Yeah, this was kind of eye-opening for me. I knew that they made changes/tweaks to the mold, but didn't realize it was that extensive. I still won't double-dip, but he looks nice.

I love the pics, and I love that you are having fun with your new Transformer. I will always support people having fun with their toys. However, I still don't think that this version of Astrotrain is worth it for me. But if you like it and you are having fun with it, mission accomplished!
