    Blokees

In this wacky economy, I feel like Blokees is really good at scratching my "I want a cool new figure, but not one that I have to dip into my grocery budget for" itch. As mentioned earlier though, I don't collect the robot modes; it's been Unicron(s) and Ark(s) and Wheels only, so far, and I...

Generations 2027: No More Primes! It is the Age of Evolution!

I thought MW was alright at the time. It wasn't as cool as G2, IMO, but it pretty much scratched a similar itch. As @LordGigaIce mentioned, I recall it being the butt of the joke in my early days of the online fandom. I didn't think it was bad, necessarily, it just didn't really grab my...

It almost tracks as a speed/running effect for me, but I don't usually think of Metroplex dashing anywhere, so...🤷‍♀️

Not really a Prime (kinda) and not a Megatron but I'm still having fun with Ultra Magni.

Yes, I took a look at both the MP and the Siege?/Whatever-they-called-it version, and it is just the MP with the Yaniger face. I hadn't seen it in a minute and misremembered. He's still a very cool figure - especially with the aforementioned accessories.

    Blokees

Yup! I don't really collect the robot mode Blokees but I do like some of what they've done. Cybertron and that Trypticon look like they'd be a lot of fun.

I feel like it is going to take a damn good G2 Sideswipe for me to budge from the recent version. That Yaniger face sculpt is a thing of beauty and when you add Nonnef's bandolier, spiked shoulder wheels and G2 weapons, its a chef's kiss of a package.

What happened to that Red Alert? I guess he's relegated to a later wave? I don't plan on getting him but I would just like to see how the finished product ends up.

    Blokees

Mine has been on preorder for a while now, and I can't wait to get him. I've got the other Stunticons (which have had their wheels/tires tastefully modded), and now they need their leader! I really do enjoy building the kits, and the finished products make fun desk toys.

I made a comment earlier in the thread about how it's become easy for me to pass on figures that have been done, done to death (and/or done better) so far. In past years though, I would still pick up the odd unplanned bot here or there, but they are going to have to be on deep, deep discount...

Food? Absolutely not. Little plastic toys? Possibly. I agree that the calculators may not feel 100% accurate, but I think that they do a decent enough job at approximating.

It turns out that $3 in 1984 translates into roughly $9 - $10 now, which we all know is the going rate of small Transformers toys today...

    1988 Minibot Equivalents

In period, I recall mall-only toy stores typically being more expensive than the bigger toy-only chains and bargain stores. It's possible that some first-run figures might have been in that $5 range, but maybe not. I just remember my parents not really wanting me to buy Transformers at the...

Transformers: Age of the Primes Thread: ll First Post All Listings II Update : April 12th, 2027 Bonus Wave: Repaint fun, Beast Wars, G2, Machine Wars

^ I have been pining for human/humanoid/bipedal-adjacent Transformers characters released this way for the longest time. Not sure why they've never been done, but I would love a set like that that would compliment my Transformers collection.
