I think that an accessory pack could be interesting if it were allowed to be just that. Give me a lil Blaster, a gun-mode Megs, some effects, extra weaponry, energon cubes - go nuts! Just don't saddle me with a couple of overpriced bots that I don't need.

I'm going to weigh in here from the perspective of someone who was around (and active) in the ARAH heyday, and who also has a healthy amount of disdain for most of the live action Transformers films: Make. Me. Care. Regardless of whether they are from GI Joe, Transformers, or newly-made-up, I...

Here are some finidings from a recent article I read in a peer-reviewed academic journal: GI Joe rulez, NEST/Sector 7 droolz! McGillicutty, Charles, et al. "More Than Meets the Eye: Human Relationships Within Modern Transformers Fiction." Scientific Cybertronian Quarterly, Volume 13. Issue...

I like the cassettes a lot and that Red Alert is what I wish they had done from the beginning. Not sure I'll be getting Red though, because just like the recent Seekers, I'm beyond done with chasing figures that already have perfectly fine modern intrepretations. I also grow weary of the...

Cybertron had Armorhide, among other Scouts. But he remains a tiny god.

Their Golden Disk / Reader accessory pack was - and still is - a thing of beauty. Tbh, I never really conceived of anything else in the Transformers lineup of the era as approximations for Minibots. By 1988, I was pretty squarely moving away from Transformers in general, because as a...

I was massively disappointed with that TF One Airachnid. I expected that it would be decent (or at least fun), but IMO, it is not either.

Have I missed news of an upcoming Transformers x Maleficent crossover in Age of Evolution or something?

I went in on WFC Reflector, The Recon Team version, and the DCS version. Unless this is appreciably different, I will most likely pass.

What's the little limbless torso-looking thingie with the triangle in that pic supposed to be?

That looks incredibly fun. Sold!

Looks very, very nice! But yes, G2 deco, please.

Congrats! That Big Convoy is very cool, IMO. Worth every bit of $20.

I don't know what else they could have done, either, except nothing. I understand wanting to try to improve that Astrotrain, but at some point in the design process, DNA probably should have just faced the music and stopped. Nothing integrates well: they've got slippers adding...height, I...

I'm sure that some are aware of this SS86 Astrotrain add-on kit from DNA: https://www.bigbadtoystore.com/product/dk-98-86-train-upgrade-kit-198825?variation=391797 So for almost $100, you can have an Astrotrain that still looks like that.

I'm not feeling wild(docking) about that TM Megs info, but I suppose I'll give it the old wait-n-see. However, I don't think any deco changes will ever get me to buy that SS86 Astrotrain mold. Curious about Mirage and Leader Scorponok, though.

Interesting little version of Prime there. Didn't expect to see Fatimus done up in the Wildocking line, but not too shabby. I have watched this line from afar, with great curiosity, and I will continue to do so.

All good advice re: triaging the opening of toys. I'm in a similar situation, in that I usually have to rotate in newer figures because I don't have the space (or desire) to display everything all at once. The rule that I make for myself when inventory is thick, is that I will try to open a...

It was a high water mark, for sure.
