You may think it's over, finished.... but you know it never ends.
It does make me a bit glad though I'm mostly just targeting specific characters these days... at this point mostly missing IDW1 and G2 stuff, maybe late G1 depending on how it's executed.
I made a comment earlier in the thread about how it's become easy for me to pass on figures that have been done, done to death (and/or done better) so far. In past years though, I would still pick up the odd unplanned bot here or there, but they are going to have to be on deep, deep discount for me to be interested now.
If it's a combiner, special one-off or a HasLab, I might still take notice. But for a normal release, nah: the price to value ratio just isn't there for me anymore.

I've pre-ordered Ironhide, Wheelie & Shockwave, TLK Megatron, I really need reviews before I judge if I should get him or not and that's it, for now, but the prices are getting silly, Hasbro's greed is on full display of late, good example of that, is AOP Sentinel Prime, a voyager figure with a large useless disk selling for over a leader class price, so I'm getting more picky about what I get, besides, I'm kind of at a point that I got pretty much every major character of interest in some form or another, thou the ones I would like to see get modern figures are:

I'm mixed on TLK Megatron. It's my favourite live action Megs design, but I have the original TLK Leader. While that figure was far from perfect, it was still a pretty nice, hefty figure for its time, and it had the mask swapping gimmick.
The accessories forming the dragon is neat on this new one, but I'm bummed out that you don't have the feature to give him his battle mask. I think I may stick with my original one.

Cyclonus is... Baffling. Finally got one despite the minimal stock (and suddenly rabid bunch of people after him, idk, scarcity and fomo flip a switch in everyone). While I'm still glad to have replaced the Kingdom copy for the height and engineering tweaks (the thighs are a liiiittle too long though) and new headsculpt, the COLORS are just so confusing.
I initially thought I'd hold out because the purple looked identical to the Kingdom one in early shots. Then more pictures showed no, it's more blue. This kept going until he looked, in digital pictures online, surprisingly close to the Unite Warriors shade of blurple, just not metallic.
Actually having him in hand, tied down to the very bright blue cardboard backdrop, he looks Kingdom purple again, maybe a drop of extra blue in there. Is it the backdrop skewing how I perceive blue or forcing my eye to see how blue the plastic isn't, instead of how blue it is? Is it just one of those colors that photographs weirdly (but then I never once mistook the Kingdom colors for blue)?

Look at a comparison between the two figures, side by side, he's definitely a much more blue than his previous

I, uh, already sold my Kingdom one. But I'll look at it again after removing it from the cardboard backing. Maybe in isolation it'll look better. It's currently still not nearly as immediately perceivable as that, but it's nice overall. Still, this has me wondering about a possible Dramatic Capture set...

I do appreciate this, but that's partly what's getting me -- on a SCREEN it looks bluer, but in PERSON it reads closer to the old shade. My first instinct was also to do a search for comparisons but I stopped and thought no, that's how I got into this.
