Really interested to see what that Commander Rodimus looks like. I'm expecting him to at least use some of the current version's tooling, and will be pleasantly surprised if it is all-new. But yeah, the IDW stuff seems interesting, as does the Marvel-deco Soundwave.

It stinks. There are a lot of folks on another Transformers site expressing their displeasure with the whole thing, too. What else can you do though, except to eBay it or hunt for it in stores, if you really want it? I think that this Starscream is cool and all, but I seriously doubt that...

I love the idea of ML Soundwave, as he feels like he's at least 80% there already. Autoscout would be nice, and it's the version I am leaning towards, because I don't feel like I need to get both. I would, however, double dip on a Soundblaster retool, if they decided to release that deco.

So far, he's just about the only TF/GI Joe Crossover I haven't picked up. If I see him at Ross for 35 bucks though, he'd be hard to pass up.

This *might* be the first Wheels wave where every single one is appealing to me. I shall seek these out with care - and alarm!

Funnily enough, that Blurr was the final toy that I bought from our Toys R Us before it closed down for good. I never collected the whole line, but I really like the design of his toy.

Mmmm...Cybery Roni - that sounds delicious 😋!

I feel like the Starscreams/Prowls/Insecticons will eventually trickle out, as most Target exclusives tend to. Hopefully sooner rather than later, but they'll be here.

If they did a page-one rewrite of the face (again!) and restored the thrusters in jet mode, I might be interested enough to take the Nestea plunge. *Might being the operative word there.

This was a fun issue to read! I really liked the DNA Design interview (I've probably helped keep their lights on for the past 8 or 9 years  ); very cool to learn about their production process. I love the spotlights on fan art and collection spaces, too. Keep up the good work!

Yeah, I still can't convince myself that this release is appreciably "better" than what came before, so it'll be a hard pass for me. The new face is different, to be sure, but I never had a big problem with the original, so... 🤷‍♂️ The new one looks crude and amateurish - as if it was...

I rewatched it recently with a group of my friends who have historically been tolerant-to-neutral about Transformers. We all reached basically these same conclusions. I keep coming "back to the well" every five or ten years for specific scenes, but the whole thing remains so damn entertaining...

This. It just looks supremely fun in a way that I wouldn't have expected from something this large, special, and niche.

That's what they want you to think...

The dream for me is a beefy, Leader Class, "designed as Tankor first" figure, with a lil' Diagnostic Drone thrown in.

This. I am not 100% certain, but my increasingly-failing memory wants to tell me ("he tell me!") that there was a mod or hack, in-period, that managed to rotate his kibble around. Not sure if it was still transformable, but I believe there were at least...attempts. *Edit: Alright, there's at...

Never underestimate the power of 3rd party add-ons! There will probably be something for this release that "rights" the percieved wrongs. Or at the very least, leans into the Dirt Boss-iness even further.

@lastmaximal, I can appreciate the logic that you used as a kid 😆 I actually ended up collecting the Terrorcons because of a similar, "grandma really wants to get you something" outing. I already had Sinnertwin and Blot at home, so I chose Hun-Gurr. I *think that I rounded out the team for my...

I'm not sure why I would want a cute, plushy version of Optimus' dying husk, but there it is. And cuddly, too! "Til All Are Comfy!"

My G1 Bruticus situation makes me feel old - but only because I am. The original that I had as a little kid is long gone. In the early 90's, I came across a complete one at a local comic/toy shop. He was really cheap (less than $40, if memory serves), so I bought it. I now have more...
