Potato potahto, tomato tomahto. Let's call the whole thing off.

I am not at all shocked that it happened, but I am curiously surprised that they might be getting caught.

Looks like

The court did not order him to pay anything back. One minority opinion seems to imply that it is likely to happen. Companies are already lining up their lawsuits to reclaim the tariff money and it will be interesting to see what happens. They will establish a lot of numbers saying who turned...

Forgot about them. -=-=-=- I had been lazily watching to see if a second season got greenlit and then saw the news yesterday that they started work on season two a couple months before season 1 came out and they have finished filming it. It might actually come out just a year from now.

It occurred to me today that while Ake and the Kionian look human, they aren't. The only human in main cast is Caleb. Reno and Kyle and the War College Chancellor in the next couple tiers. We've never had a cast that wasn't majority human before.

That's cool. Now to see if a Big Beautiful Tariff Bill gets fast-tracked through Congress.

Episode 7 was a perfectly existent episode. I had begun to wonder if Star Trek would ever find a way to explore whether a character would choose Starfleet over an old family betrothal.

So. On any other day of any week, they'd be saying this WAS a white guy. But when she shoots some people, it changes over to "The Mainstream Media is hoping you will just assume this was a white guy and not check for yourself."

I don't know.

Oh, yes, that's right. I have only seen one of those and an episode of DS9, but yes. Edit - Well, no. In a heist movie, everyone was recruited to fill a part in the plan. It is EXPLICITLY contrived. What is going on here is everyone jumping in with their special talent when it is supposed...

I don't mind spoilers. I did watch it over the weekend. I don't have a lot to say, I guess. The episode was well crafted in general and I enjoyed it. It felt a little more like a superhero movie or something that Star Trek. I enjoyed the scenes with Ake and Brakka, particularly noticing how...

I haven't seen the latest episode yet. I have seen spoilers that the Vulcan boy dies. I have been saying Vulcan boy and Romulan girl, but I was just thinking about it and do Ni'Varans still identify as Vulcans and Romulans?

Did she get magic that wasn't a parlor trick?

It is hard to tell with these producers. They wouldn't want to make a Ferengi look like they used to look. That would bore them. The ear makes me think of Remans, but I went and refreshed my image of Remans and it still looks more like a Ferengi than a Reman. And it isn't going to be a...

I got them all on Morpheus (is there a statute of limitations?) long, long ago, but now it has been more than 20 years since I watched them. My recollection is that they were better written than they had any business being.

I was thinking about the time Aladdin tricked Jafar into wishing to be a genie and I feel like the implications of that don't get enough discussion. People talk about all these one-off wishes, but the genie can give you an ongoing superpower. My first wish is that I always know the right...

Jake is pretty insistent he believes Sisko WAS there.

They definitely stamped their feet down on the Doctor not being able to properly grieve even after 900 years. I wonder what they are planning there. -=-=- I saw an article that said since Avery Brooks has stopped acting, they found a line from an audio book he had done and got his permission...
