Indeed. Great stories can be great. But there will likely always be that divide for some between great films… and animated films that are great and far smarter than they are given credit for. But are still ‘cartoons’.

Agreed on both counts. Western Animation has always been considered by the suits to be ‘kids stuff’ and secondary. Phantasm should definitely rank as one of the best Batman films.

That’s a good question. Certain elements sound intriguing, but 2028 is a long way off. I guess whenever the first trailer comes out, we’ll get a hint of how many people still want this. I mean, I hope it’s gonna be good.
