I had planned to test out Viper with Bruticus as an extra Combaticon, now I'm not so sure. Do the new frame style combiners have ratchet elbows or are they just friction hinges?

I don't know if Combiner Wars Shockwave is actually hold-able, I asked that myself and someone said his slot prevented Superion from doing it, but the 'radar ship' Shockwave apparently can be used. And I may just modify the handle from the other one anyway if it's not too far off.

I never picked up a Siege or related Shockwave (which is why the knee-less Walgreens one is what shows up the most commonly) but I will definitely get him as my Combaticon team's sixth ranger if I can afford it.

I just cringe at the 'ball joints + clear plastic' issue, I've never been able to fix them properly when the cracks occur.

Looking back at the pics of new Bruticus I see the little notch in the right shoulder that I previously totally overlooked where the new tab on Shockwave's chest locks in, and it is NOT mirrored in the left shoulder of the frame. Looks like this has been in the works from the start.

That's probably why the average train can't hold six construction vehicles plus an army of similar sized warriors at once. A lack of shuttle-bay. Though I still look at the old transformation in the movie and wonder if everyone inside got throw against the ceiling when the entire room rolled...

I do hope the 'rechargeable' bit is wrong, honestly, simply because I hate a toy being limited in its life by the Iife of a non-replaceable battery of variable quality. AA's or AAA's are easier if you check them against leakage.

I can't criticize, one of the few TFSS toys I kept during the medical mess was the Pretender monkey with an inner truck. It's one of my all time favorites.
