I just noticed that the shoulders and forearms of Bruticus-gun Shockwave lack the 5mm peg holes the Siege one had (according to pics, I own neither so far). So probably the old ship accessories won't work with it. I do wonder if this was why they removed the ship eye, maybe they're implying the...

I wonder if that was literally what he scanned. It explains everything, especially the crashing.

But Cosmos and Shockwave blend in so seamlessly! (Seriously, they tested their disguises over Woodstock in the 60's. No one noticed).

When's the next toy-reveal? They did the last few sets and now have a 'fatal wounds' Prime and Megatron, plus that dead Earthrise Prime. We aren't far off from a 'full' set.
  5. Hasbr-uh-oh - Business and Tariffs Discussion

When I was a kid Snake Eyes was always a bit confusing as I saw little of the show (what I did see lead to the Zartan hair issue) and the toys name, combined with seeing the variant with the cobra symbol when all this was new, didn't help.

I honestly don't like his design much, but despite me generally trying to avoid getting my nephew anything he might find himself at Wal-mart to avoid accidently duplicating, I did order one anyway because it's also one of those designs I know he could use more than one of to be a different...

My favorite was always Zartan, mostly because of the color changing, though I admit I was always annoyed that I thought he had a full head of hair and every toy of him for the most part either has him bald or with a mohawk on occasion. None of them look 'right' to me. Heck, I even turned that...
  8. Movies and TV It's official: Hasbro is SORRY for killing Optimus Prime, OKAY. Here, have a Matrix of Leadership!

All apology tours are marketing, if they weren't, they wouldn't have paid merchandising. They regret NOTHING, they were GLAD they did it, they'd do it again, and they probably will...

Well, Shoulder-Gun Shockwave is up for preorder, BEFORE Swindle, so Bruticus may have to use his big gun as a peg leg or something...

When will the toys for Snake Eyes: Reactivate be released?
  11. Studio Series discussion

Something's definitely up at Pulse, not only is the Matrix more expensive AND sold out, it's also having a big 'Owned' green button on it for me, and I'm pretty sure I don't, I didn't even set up and order there.

I subscribe to the idea that if a prop matrix causes anger, then it's a Hatrix. But if you can't pull a rabbit out of it, is it, really?
  13. Studio Series discussion

Oh, yes...I was in the 'no way' category when I thought it was li-ion powered. I have had too many things die like that, software operation is another problem on top of it, for the expensive auto-transformers. If it had been both software operated AND rechargeable it's the perfect storm of...

I just had an odd thought. If they got 'The Touch' for a toy, they could probably license the other parts of the movie's sounds or voices. I wonder how hard it would be to make a Unicron helmet with the original voice clips. And it could be a default 'close to scale' Unicron toy for some...

The original G1 minibot? He always has had that issue, I think. I know mine did.
  17. Studio Series discussion

I'm still considering it, I also wonder if Pulse has an error, as it's $139.99 on there, but $124.99 at BBTS and Amazon.

I think this might be unintentionally intended (if that's even a concept) as someone's 'dream' Bruticus, like "What would happen if Bruticus was Liokaiser level?" but without the same budget. So you have the odd mixes like a frame combination system for stability but greater integration of the...

Wow...that makes perfect sense...and I could easily see Unicron as being one of those entities who doesn't care if one of his worshippers claims to be his avatar, reincarnation, or even flat out claims they're him, since he's just going to consume them in the end with all the rest. It could lend...

Re: Small Unicrons, just do what I do to explain any size issues, all you have to do is claim that the 'small' (whatever the scale is) Unicron is some sort of Avatar he's sending to communicate. There's plenty of fiction precedence for it, and it conveniently explains away any shelf-size...
