It'd be hilarious if it was three of the Deluxe Insecticons in black and purple. (I'm sure it won't be.) I could go for color-reversed 'normal' Insections, though. (I.e. switch up the black and purple and whatever else to make them look different but still consistent.)

I only have Galvatron now, but he's pretty good, especially for a $10 toy now. He'd be close to great with elbows. It's the weird "some articulation but not enough" unhappy medium. I can accept bricks (like the One-Step types). I don't *need* ankle and wrist or waist articulation. But if...

One of the fun things about novelizations and comic adaptations is that they're typically based off a not-quite-final script, so some orphaned references and the like sometimes have some explanation. (On the other hand, sometimes the author adds his own stuff in that wasn't in any of the...

Like I said, it's harder than it looks. Does Trap Jaw work as Soundwave? Not sure Beastman and Merman work as anyone, at least from early-ish G1. I guess they could all wear various Seeker/Conehead armors.

I was a little skeptical of a few of the listings from that leak, and Kranix was one of them. Part of that is how much I want an actual Kranix toy and I don't wanna be disappointed. (The others IIRC were Armada Sideways, which again, NEEED, and BW Quickstrike, so, maybe I should dare to dream.)

Re: Quintus: I'm reminded of the bit from Men in Black: "Congratulations. It's a squid." I absolutely love the variety in the Primes. Alchemist is very normal, Solus and Prima are futuristic-but-not crazy and then the wild gets cranked up with Onyx, Quintus, and Algamous. Jalopy looks fine...

This is one of many many times Hasbro's insistence "Optimus vs. Megatron" lets us down. How about Skeletor in Galvatron's armor, Man-At-Arms as Kup. Rodimus/Hot Rod as He-Man/Adam, and, uh, Trap-Jaw and Tri-Clops as Scourge and Cyclonus. Or Demolishor and Cyclonus. I don't know. This is...

The price is a little baffling-- IIRC it's been a while since convention-exclusive toys have had a real markup from the originals. The listing refers to Nemesis as Voyager-class, so that's less than half of the set's cost-- no way the Star Saber is also a Voyager. If Nemesis is closer to...

Walmart "Transformers Retro" line (G1-based redecos/retools)

Once and again, side-by-sides of the older toy and the new one would be very interesting and useful. (In-hand is obviously better so you can see size differences better, but even switching between two images is helpful.)

Especially as exclusives, which are a special category anyway. "Only this store carries it" is IMO significantly more important to know/remember than "which very similar trade dress to look for."

In further crossover action, I wonder how Seaspray would look as Luke's landspeeder. Probably too much remolding necessary, but IMO the base engineering could work.

I'd forgotten about Multiforce. I think it's doable, especially with some creative combiner kibble. We already have hand-foot-gun precedent-- some weapons that also allow connections isn't much of a stretch. Some kind of armor that attaches to a figure to make it (or two of them) a torso.

To me, it sounds like a combiner name. If they could make a combiner with just one mold, IMO that'd be ideal. (No, I don't know *how.* I'm sure it's doable but complicated.) Limb-to-torso (or part of torso) AND a vehicle mode AND a robot mode is a big ask, but maaaan it would be so, so cool.

Transformers: Wild King -- new "Wildocking" animal limb combiner series from TakaraTomy

I'm surprised BBTS, TFSource, and the like aren't carrying any of this line. I feel like I'm missing something. (Maybe something painfully obvious, even.)

I like the "character mistakenly colored as someone else" ones because those are often good color schemes that would work on a lot of body-types/molds, but they're identified with a particular individual. Or they're inexplicable new members of a defined, color-co-ordinated team (Constructicons...

Construction Shockwave should come with Core Class Shockblast and Sixshot. (CW Shockwave and Legacy Shockwave are both so, so good.)

The fact that MicroVerse was a multi-brand line makes me even sadder I missed out. I haven't checked, but I bet they're much too expensive for me now. (Also, all those loose parts!)
