They did ask if we were ok with the show being part of Studio Series, and redecos are cheaper than new figures, so it's not *that* farfetched.
(I need one of them to be named Deep Cut.)
Edit/update: also hooray for potential new characters!
I miss the original Cyberverse. Tiny normal-sized guys allowed for much more manageable playsets. We didn't get many, but the idea was great. (Also the vehicle trailers were fun.)
Actually, I guess I really miss MicroVerse. I got into Beast Wars late enough to get Arachnoid on sale, and...
My guess is that we'll get RiD Prowl and X-Brawn before the Trains.
And I think it'll be a bit before those two show up. Lot of other characters from other series in the way IMO.
(The group I'm wondering about most is the Energon Autobots-- they almost have to include the combination gimmick...
There's supposedly some exclusive version of Studio Megs coming up, so who knows what deco that'll have, or if it'll even be that different.
But I could see toy-based, comic-based, and reformatting-based decos before even getting into weirder stuff.
This kind of thing is one of the many many reasons I liked early IDW so much. No millions-year slumber, but a nice, small-scale local secret war. Megatron and Optimus don't even show up right away.
There's no way you can sustain that, really-- eventually there needs to be an escalation or a...
There's something charmingly ad hoc and "obviously not a disguise" about it IMO. Like, pre-Earth (or Nebulan, etc.) altmodes don't have to look like anything in particular, so why not just have one's arms stick out?
(As a toy or display piece, yeah, it's visually lacking. As much as I can...
And Alchemist has spectacles. If it's a build-a-thing, it's gonna be sub-Mikor levels of coherence, I think.
I'm leaning towards some kind of holder or display thing or *maybe* they all fit on some presumably unannounced figure. Like a Hot Rod that "wields" them all at once.
(or a Thunderwing)
Were there three? I remember the blue scorpion one and the big yellow-black-red one and
OH THAT'S RIGHT
I forgot the mutant hellbeast, my favorite!!
(officially "inferno creature" but I know what they meant)
ANYWAY
I love love love the way Alpha Trion holds his pen. He's this super-smart...
Onyx isn't the first Transformers-branded centaur! The Animorphs subline had two!
(either would make for a better deco than Browny McFeces currently has)
Is there a list of animation errors that are at least as common as the correct version anywhere?
Because there seem to be many such cases.
(Okay, I'm exaggerating, but if the error is prevalent enough-- maybe 20% of the time?-- it's hard to see it as terribly wrong, more of an alternate...
Oh, sure, and once he gets one toy, the odds of another are higher. It's just interesting to see what's memorable or popular. You never really know who'll be the fan-favorite or breakout character.
I like the idea of Galvatron being a little bit taller than Megatron, but based on the reformatting scene, it looks more like he's really just bulkier.
To me, anyway. Hard to guess the director's/animators' intent (for whatever that's worth) when they're floating in space like this
(edited...
Not a whole league, and they have a *lot* of existing names they can recycle.
But, like, one done up like Thundercracker as Skybolt of the Kaon Seekers or whatever.
