I think it was Rycochet who did these digibashes of CW Devatator (using the old toys' heads rather than the pretooled ones made for CW Devy since those weren't revealed yet at the time) back in 2019 before the hack attack destroyed the forum:

With this current Hasbro team, I feel like they'd rather make proper new versions of these characters that actually look like how they're supposed to look.
Part of me feels like it would explain Hook having a crane he can remove, since its feasible they could remold it to be Hightower's rifle.
Most of the colors are in the wrong places, but aside from the green that one reminds me a lot of the original orange and yellow Diaclone version.
Would like to see the green one redone in Longracks colors.

I was thinking more like "Grip-Lock" or "Gridlock", or even something completely different like "Buckethead".
Gridlock is a good name. I'm surprised it hasn't already been used for a Transformers toy.
I was thinking of those, and I guess he sort of grips, if scooping counts as gripping. "Gridlock" seems more like something a car would be named, though, yeah?
I wanted to keep close to his original name, just as sort of a "squint test" sort of thing, so he could still have something like his name here while avoiding confusion with Big Grim.

I'm picturing a Decepticon car troop builder.
It's been used for a non-toy character, at least.
To me, it sounds like a combiner name.
If they could make a combiner with just one mold, IMO that'd be ideal. (No, I don't know *how.* I'm sure it's doable but complicated.)
Limb-to-torso (or part of torso) AND a vehicle mode AND a robot mode is a big ask, but maaaan it would be so, so cool.
Doesn't Landcross basically work that way?
