  1. Dramatic Capture Series

Not bad, though I had been hoping for a 'no clear parts' version simply for durability, like the 'Retro' repaints of Bumblebee and Gears coming out.
  2. He-Man, and also the Masters of the Universe

In my own mind, I had Scare Glow and the old Super7 Transforming He Man (glow in the dark) as ghosts of the two from a side reality where they'd mutually fought to the death. And discrepancies between their appearances and the 'live' versions is due to a mix of alternate reality and fading...
  3. HasLab 2025: Liokaiser

These are quite a bit larger than expected for '5.5 in scale'. I actually WILL have to figure out shelf spacing...also, Killbison's cannon DOES have ports on top, so the Jaluga missiles will hopefully fit! I will use the constant spelling changes to justify myself calling it the Beastforce...
  4. Dramatic Capture Series

I'd considered, given the amount of clear plastic in that set, getting a spare copy of each of the three since my nephew really likes them, but I haven't done it yet. This may be a better bet, since it won't all be just the same thing all over again, it'll add some variation.
  5. HasLab 2025: Liokaiser

Just so you know, all this talk of misdriven pins, combined with the sheer number of pins that have to be driven in a combiner that's full of mirror-imaged parts, is giving me, to quote Frankie Mouse from the Hitchhiker's Guide, the "screaming heebie-jeebies".

Wasn't that around the time foil stickers made a comeback? I did a LOT of sanding/coating/hair-dryering etc for that entire stretch just to make things transform correctly as tabs wouldn't fit or the like. And Trypticon made me learn all about plastic safe lubricants.
  7. HasLab 2025: Liokaiser

I am sorry I potentially brought up a subject I hadn't realized was that controversial. I was just thinking of what I paid for exclusive combiners before. But re: G1, believe it or not I've gotten my nephew a few of the Walmart reissues, because they are somewhat easier to transform than many...
  8. HasLab 2025: Liokaiser

I'm sorry, I wasn't looking at EITHER of the hate/defense options, I was just evaluating the cost for my own budgeting based on what I myself have done on other past exclusives, because of the discussion as to the package value. In my own case I saw it as a rare example of a Transformers...
  9. HasLab 2025: Liokaiser

*Checks list* *Nods sagely* Huh. Checks out...Ok, then! If anyone needs me I will be under my desk screaming.

I was thinking more of how the TFSS was mostly repaints and minor remolds, though we DID get the two Pretender Shells in 5 (to be fair, they were both repaints, but a repaint of a shell used for one Con exclusive and a shell from a Japanese exclusive Fortress Maximus recolor, so I gave them more...
  11. HasLab 2025: Liokaiser

Well, as I said before, TFSS 4.0 was $297, and it looks like 5.0 was $330. Assuming I have that right, Liokaiser now at seven new-mold (with some parts sharing) bots plus mini-partners is a better deal than either of them. And still nearly a month to get the last tiers in. It's STILL pricey, and...
  12. HasLab 2025: Liokaiser

"LASERBEAKER! EJECT!" "No...no, the incorporation of Cybetronian technology into Muppet Labs is definitely not giving the performance boost we had hoped for..."
  13. HasLab 2025: Liokaiser

I do wonder how many actual parts are in LioKaiser's set (not figure numbers, I mean literal parts, like plastic pieces, pins, screws, etc) compared to Unicron? It has to be way above DeathSaurus or Star Saber, very likely well above Omega Prime. Even with some obvious shared moldings between...
  14. HasLab 2025: Liokaiser

Well, people said that when the Razor Crest blew up (and I myself was devastated, despite not actually backing it, as the only working bathroom I knew of in the entire Star Wars Universe went with it), and this entire team died YEARS ago...

Bad news on my plan to get a Chuck toy, now with RECYCLED ART!
  16. Japanese Transformers News

I have to admit, the new Rodimus looks to have some huge upgrades in posability compared to Coca Cola Zero Sugar, but they both seem like more of an artistic interpretation of their originals rather than an actual new product. If you gave them more significant repaints like what used to be...
  17. Post Pictures of your Transformers: Autumnbots and Halloween Horrorcons!

I had Ultra Visser 3, honestly it wasn't that good. Nothing locked in place right, the middle claw was a totally wrong color, the torso was dinky, hands were just cast on the back of two triangles, etc. If you like the character, or want a HUGE Hork-Bajir, it's great. But for being an actual...
  18. Post Pictures of your Transformers: Autumnbots and Halloween Horrorcons!

I liked to angle the back end of Visser-3 up to make shoulder cannons. Not remotely right, I know, I read all the novels. But I used the toy as a Transformer.
  19. Transformers Legacy toyline

I had a similar issue with my Coronation Starscream's guns. A very light coating of acrylic nail polish solved that issue. It's important to let it fully dry FIRST, though. Thing with my nephew's Prime though was the opposite, his fist holes are SO tight it was problematic. I lightly sanded...
