Transformers: Age of the Primes toyline discussion || update: stock renders of upcoming Alpha Trion, Micronus, Flatline, Fireflight, Skydive, ++

So we got some art of this line's version of the Thirteenth, and it looks like Star Convoy meets Powermaster Optimus?

    Studio Series discussion

I tend to be easy on Hasbro because fandom as a whole can't be pleased. Liven up a bunch of gunmetal and silver Baybots? Not screen accurate. Given them screen accurate colour schemes? Too boring. I had this discussion just last night actually. Someone was lamenting that we don't get original...

    Magneto and Genocide

Magneto prefers the silver fox look so he let himself age up just enough :p I actually have an issue with how the MCU treats WWII as a whole. Obviously Captain American: The First Avenger couldn't ignore the Nazis, but the Red Skull at one point openly dispenses with the Nazi functionaries...

Same. Thankfully the only one I really wanted from that set was Roller... so I was able to grab him. Speaking of the drones as their own characters... Dillo evolution! Sentinel & Dillo and Optimus & Roller And 2/3 of the Cyberjets!

"What a disappointment." "Quite." "... you two are jerks." IIRC the issue wasn't so much "gold" plastic, it was any swirly metallic plastic. Hasbro, at the very least, seems to have figured it out. Shocked that a TT product from 2010 was having those issues though.

    Magneto and Genocide

While the MCU has been trying that in some ways... again, it has a built in precedent of someone who was a young man during WWII being alive and kicking butt in the present. No, Magneto wasn't frozen (though hell... why not, for the MCU's purposes?), but the MCU adapted the Infinity Gem saga...

Takara: I'll change my gold plastic mixtures after you pry my desaturated G1 tapes from my cold, dead fingers!

    Magneto and Genocide

I think clarity is key, especially when you're dealing with sensitive issues? I guess the root of my frustrations is this... Comic book science, space magic, mystical McGuffins... all of these things have been used to paper over these sorts of issues in the past and aside from a few snide...

    Magneto and Genocide

I'm tired of antisemitism being given a free pass and treated as a "lesser" evil. I'm tired of Jewish identity, Jewish safety, and Jewish issues being dismissed by people. I'm tired of assuming the best and having that faith thrown back in my face. This is small potatoes in the grand scheme...

    Magneto and Genocide

Only kicked dogs (or foxes in this case) howl. Yes I think there's a degree of antisemitism in the idea that Magneto being a Jewish Holocaust surviour is something that needs to be changed. Out of all of the insane stuff that's happened in the Marvel comics timeline someone who survived the...

Hasbr-uh-oh - Business and Tariffs Discussion

From what I've heard Power Rangers was Goldner's baby. He saw the potential in Hasbro leveraging its IP library and thought Power Rangers would be a great addition to that. He was able to convince the board to go along with the purchase. When he died Hasbro was left in the hands of people who...

    Magneto and Genocide

Another thing... this doesn't just apply to Magneto. How long has Peter Parker been Spider-Man? How long has Bruce Wayne been Batman? Comic timelines are insane on the face of it because if anyone wanted to retain any semblance of realism these characters would have been replaced multiple...

Hasbr-uh-oh - Business and Tariffs Discussion

I got the Zap Megazord and Dragonzord and was let down by both. Sure they were articulated but they felt cheap. So much so that the Legacy Bandai offerings, despite being far more limited, seemed like a better deal for the price (which was considerably lower than Zap's premium price tag) I...

Hasbr-uh-oh - Business and Tariffs Discussion

The partnership between Saban and Badai and Disney and Bandai was perfect because neither Saban or Disney are Bandai's competitors. Hasbro taking over the PR toy licence, and eventually owning the brand, was always awkward because not only is Hasbro a competitor of Bandai of America but...

    Magneto and Genocide

It's comics. Shenanigans to keep the status quo intact is a time honoured tradition.

    Magneto and Genocide

Someone who was young during WWII being virile and kickass in the present day in the Marvel universe? Insanity. I'm just tired of there always being an asterisk next to the noble attempt to increase representation in comics that reads "doesn't apply to Jews." Magneto is someone who those of us...
