I just read Trump's version as his typical "they are spending lots of money to attack me!" and of course he doesn't like that, so he tells everyone that it's corrupt to do things like that.
I used to use eBay for this kind of thing all the time back in the Fun Pub era (although admittedly more for BotCon sets than for TFSS). It was such a pain, when I've had toys I want to get rid of these days, I just take them to BookOff. I know I'm getting a fair bit less for them than I'd have...
Problem is, I'll either buy a lot of those products whether or not I've seen those commercials, and/or I won't buy the products, even if I had seen the commercials.
(I'm not saying commercials don't drive sales. I'm saying it's really hard to tie sales to any specific commerical(s).)
In case a history lesson is in order. This is in regard to last year's HasLab (Omega Prime)
The Liokaiser HasLab is now only about 7 or 8 hours old (it started before it's official start time of noon EST), and is already at more than a third of the goal. That's not at all bad.
Apparently there's a Batman figure with "Hellbat armor" or some such. So it's apparently a trademark conflict rather than fears about sensitive language.
(FWIW, I think Cockney Hellbat is a FAR better alternative than "Fellbat")
If you're looking for impeachment, it's congress. I was simply talking about legality. That's for the courts to determine. If he keeps doing things they say he can't, they can also say "you're not immune."
Seems to me there's a strong argument to say that "if he keeps doing them when told to stop" by the courts, those actions can no longer be "official acts."
In this instance, at least, I'm thinking less "distraction" and more about his transactional mindset. He's done a lot of his tarriff-threatening specifically as a means of negotiation to get other countries to do what he wants them to do. I think the same can be suggested about his stated desire...
Agreed, but even if it were to be split up, the most logical ways for such a split to take place would likely still end up advantaging Democrats over Republicans. Like so much of his agenda, the orange either hasn't thought this through, or he's not really serious anyway (likely because his true...
I'm usually annoyed at how quickly many people scream "distraction" about some piece of ridiculousness perpetrated by our current government, but I really find it hard to see this as anything else.
Common sense apparently looks like this to Trump:
Accident happened
There are protocols in place to keep these kinds of accidents from happening.
Only very intelligent people can manage these protocols.
Since we know the accident happened, it can only be because we had less than intelligent...
I was just about to say something similar... there was a whole big fuss about how energy-consumptive it is to do cryptocurrency. This latest move by Musk just shows how disingenuous he is.
I know I'm the minority, and so have largely bowed out on these conversations, but comments like this force me to remind folks that (for me, and I'm pretty sure I'm not alone), robot-on-robot violence hits VERY different than violence upon organics. It's all the difference in the world.
The difference between "trying" and "succeeding" seems enough to respond to this comment. We've seen that Trump is more than happy to do the very weaponizing of the legal system he accuses his opponents of. A pardon takes out at least some of the tools he has to make things stick. He's left with...
