And reactors. And the breeder reactors used to create medicinal isotopes. AND the facilities used to store, handle and distribute those isotopes.

Does it glow in the ******* dark? DOE knew what that jive was, where it was, how much of it was there, and why it was there specifically.

Vonschitzinpants and muskrat are threats to national and global security: they need to be removed.

FB friend:
If you voted for a guy whose signature catch-phrase is literally "You're fired" and you're shocked that he's mass-firing people, you're too stupid to vote.
No, Trump voters, you don't get to complain that DOGE is hurting people indiscriminately. You voted for Trump because you WANTED him to hurt people indiscriminately. You said things like "we need someone who will burn down the whole system". Do you think we didn't hear that?

Well, now you're getting what you voted for. This is EXACTLY what you voted for. All of these indiscriminate cuts are YOUR fault. And no, you can't ask for humanitarian exceptions: you WANTED someone who would not care about humanitarian exceptions.

How else can you explain wanting to eliminate all foreign aid? Don't you think there's a human cost to doing that? Of course there is, but YOU DIDN'T CARE, and you specifically voted for a man who you knew wouldn't care either.

ALL OF THIS is what you voted for, so if you don't like it, then f**k you. If your husband or your father or your son or daughter lost their job because of this, don't blame anyone but yourself. You did this.
Millions of Trump supporters talk about trade deficits without having the slightest idea what a trade deficit is. They just know that it sounds bad, because it has the word "deficit" in it.

A trade deficit does NOT necessarily mean you're getting ripped off. If you buy $100 worth of lumber from me, you are running a trade deficit of $100, but you didn't get ripped off. You got $100 worth of lumber. The value exchanged was equal.

In fact, if the lumber is on sale and you get $100 worth of lumber for only $80, you're still running a trade deficit of $80, but you actually got a good deal, which is the opposite of getting ripped off.

It's sad that something like this needs to be explained.

Really stepping to to the courts and Congress and saying "Make me." now isn't he?

*edit*
Just read the article, it sounds like it's mroe about the regulations to enforce the law than the laws themselves. Good luck to that AG if he's now going to write all teh regulations himself because he's gonna have to pull a lot of all-nighters.

Trump can play the spin game all he wants, but that order is the coup. If that goes unchallenged, he absolutely will declare himself god king and say he can have as many terms as he wants. This ends elections in America.
I know he's got some serious ass kissers in SCOTUS, but I guarantee this gets John Roberts out of bed. He will not allow himself to go down in history as the last head of SCOTUS, the one who allowed this to happen under his watch. I'm willing to bet Barrett will also join him. I think she's got an eye on history as well. Alito is a psychotic zealot, Thomas is (forgive me for saying this) an Uncle Tom who'll do whatever is best for him and hug the rest. Cavanaugh isn't quite a zealot yet, but he is a short sighted idiot. He'll play.

President Trump on Tuesday signed an executive order declaring that only the attorney general or the president, instead of federal regulators or bureaucrats, can speak for the U.S. when interpreting the meaning of laws carried out by the executive branch.
From the article. Unless I'm missing something from the actual executive order, this is about regulations not the actual laws. This is NOT him saying he makes all the alws. This is about how the laws get enforced.

I think this might have been explained before, but my dad worked for the EPA himself before he retired, and he's explained this process to me before. When a bill becomes law, that is the statute. The next step BEFORE it can be enforced is for a regulation to be written covering HOW the law gets applied. This is typically a long process that can take upwards of a year from the time a law is passed. After the first draft, it gets passed back for review(possible through other related agencies IIRC), questionable parts brought up, then it gets rewritten to account for that(so the courts won't just throw it out because of incorrect enforcement). From the description here, it sounds like the AG and President basically are now the ones to write every regulation, or have final say on them before they start getting enforced.

This isn't him overriding congress, the courts, etc, this is him simply saying "if you run an agency, you answer to me still on how/where you do it". All the regulations, whether overseen by Trump's AG or not still have to pass muster under the courts to be legal. It's basically just him flexing his "I'm the big man here" ego, and/or curtailing the ability of agencies to write their own regulations(which tbf was a bit knocked around by the removal of chevron deference anyways). I hope his AG is ready for some all-nighters though if he's planning to write EVERY regulation from here on out.

His interpretation of law is "I can do what I want and get away with it". Nobody's ever actually stopped him before, he's just trying to make it official now.
