It's definitely worth a read, Nightow's art is fun to look at. If you've seen the anime, the original Trigun manga is pretty close, when it switches to Trigun Maximum and starts to burn through the Gung Ho Guns, it really does start to diverge significantly. There's a lot more of the Gung Ho...

To me, I think the thing about Slipstream is that her wings are different from Starscream, even if they have a similar body design. Using Thrust's wings would certainly fit that bill, but I'm not sure I would consider the VTOLs as necessary per se. That said, of the G1 Seeker wing options...
