I like the Cassettes. Need a Blaster for those...

Might get Exhaust. Like the new Red Alert mold's toyetic flair but I like Sideswipe's colors better, so I'll wait on that.

Optimus/Elita set is cute but it's just too redundant for me.

Lol Bolts is a repaint of the WFC Frumble mold instead of the Rewind/Eject mold.

I did not know how upset I was that SS Red Alert didn't come with a Sideswipe head.

But that's more a ME problem.

It's weird since they could have just made up a color scheme like with the other cassettes to at least fit in with all the regular Autobots

So, great news that it's confirmed Nexus will be getting a new, dedicated frame. (I still really hope they can manage to make it a standalone Heatwave, who just also can transform into a Nexus frame.) Terrible news that it won't come until '28 or '29. 😖 I like having my combiner teams be teams, but I can already tell it's going to kill me having a team assembled for a year or two before it will be possible to actually combine them.

Looks like the Optimus/Elita set comes with a tiny Blaster. I feel like it ought to be a full-size Blaster that Optimus can hold over his head...

EDIT: Did they say if the confirmed Nexus Frame is part of a box set, or somehow sold separately? That might make a difference in some of my purchases...

It's the Centurion pack Soundwave, with paint apps to make it look like Blaster.

The Valentines Day set looks like something a Hasbro designer mocked up on some AI tools for personal amusement, which somehow got submitted as a serious product idea and actually green-lit.

I get the feeling that set is going to simply sit on shelves gathering dust, little boys will likely not be that interested, mainly because the packing is bright pink, while a lot of fans will likely pass on this because they already have copies of those figures and don't want another copy

It is also getting two new limbs too!

I wonder if the Valentine's Pack is a sort-of-solution to the questions on getting the Centurion Pack redone, since it includes a few things from it. Meanwhile, my nephew has used 'modern' cassettes in his Wal Mart Retro Blaster and Soundwave (I didn't know they'd fit, he worked that out himself and I never saw Rumble and Frenzy again...). But a multipack of these would probably be a great birthday/Christmas thing. Could also be great for DoubleDealer, to give him some less 'repurposed' minions! I admit I'm disappointed on one big thing, my favorite cassettes were Slugfest, Overkill, and the Squawkbox set. And we never seem to get those.

Prices are way away from impulse buys being workable anymore but I could see Goldbug shelfwarming, if he does, I would love to put him with my SS Cliffjumper and Walmart/Netflix Bee to have those and Goldbug all represented, in three entirely different molds.

Yeah, they did talk about the Valentine set being a stand in for the centurion. They said they were planning on reissuing the centurion, but Covid happened and ruined that. I will be honest though, I think that the accessories in this pack aren't as exciting as they were for the Centurion set. Whether it's their new colors, or the lack of accessories to use beyond these two bots, I couldn't say. I am just not that interested in these accessories.

I think that an accessory pack could be interesting if it were allowed to be just that. Give me a lil Blaster, a gun-mode Megs, some effects, extra weaponry, energon cubes - go nuts! Just don't saddle me with a couple of overpriced bots that I don't need.

I'm sorry, I didn't see the panel, I hadn't realized they specifically commented on it.

I think Shapeways had the small-parts market somewhat cornered for a while, and any 'big' 3rd party using actual molds will be limited by what they think the market is, due to production numbers. The one advantage Shapeways had was the ability to make one or two things at a time, and not require churning out a thousand copies just to be profitable (though their pricing also made the disadvantage of that approach obvious AND the fact that they went out of business anyway also says something).

DNA Designs seems to be the big accessory-pack oriented one these days but they've gone more for add-ons and upgrades for specific bots, very little general stuff.

I miss having the multipacks of accessories like I had with my He-man figures in the 80's where you could buy an entire blister pack full of weapons and armor and just them any way you liked. And they were put out by the main company itself. Though the fact that I had to sand posts in the Centurion pack stuff to make a lot work says that modern QC works against us even with that.
