I am looking foreward to the Resident Evil games but noticed the file sizes go RE2 - 14GB, RE3 - 13GB and RE4 - 30GB. Since Switch 2 game cards are 64GB they could maybe store all three on one cart. But, RE2 and 3 are half of what they were on Xbox One and PS4, there might have been a mistake.

I'd be, too, if Level-5 wasn't all in on AI.

Ditto Yo-Kai Watch

Or Yo-kAI Watch now, I guess.
....wait, really? Fudge. Is there any info that they used AI for the new game? I tried looking a bit but didn't see anything. As long as there's no AI in the game itself, I might have to wait until I can get a used copy so my money doesn't go to Level-5.

I don't want to go to much into detail about it in the nintendo thread.

But steam's disclosures are no longer useful, as they don't have to disclose anything that's not "Forward facing" the player.

Meaning if the whole game is AI vibe coded, we have no way of actually verifying.

That’s weird. Even the iOS/Mac version is around 22GB. So either it’s an error, or Capcom did some optimization and are leveraging some back end stuff to maintain performance parity?

Even if there were strict standards—even if every government on earth made AI illegal—companies could always just lie. And they would. The appeal of having an instant "do all the work for me" button is too great for anyone who isn't in it purely for the love of the game to ignore.

Nintendo has started their “Customer Appreciation Sale”…and it’s a joke. Unless you’re looking for markdowns on Amiibos. 30% off Amiibos isn’t a bad deal. Joy-Cons for the Switch 1, it isn’t a terrible sale either.
But games? Total joke. No Switch 2 anything (aside from the camera and cross platform hardware), and Nintendo’s 30% off isn’t much when many of the games are still full price nearly a decade on from release. It’s no better than the average holiday sale, IMO.

And it's not even happening in Canada, despite them being more than happy to charge us more when the tariffs hit.

I hear you can still do the eShop by changing the location on your account to a US zip code, but I don't know if I want to bother. Is any Smash DLC on there?

Not sure anything targets it specifically, but...

I read that the puzzles at least were made by a quiz group since the original puzzle creator passed. Yeah, I can't bring myself to even watch the presentation video since it'll make me sad.

I've been playing Fire Emblem Fortune's Weave off and on all day and it is REALLY clicking with me. The last Fire Emblem I tried was Three Houses and something there just didn't hook me and I bounced off in... I want to say less time than I've already played in FW.

Really, really liking it right now.

As an aside I've been keeping an eye on local stock for the game out of curiosity and because I rushed out this morning to get it, afraid I'd miss out if I waited till this evening. Glad I did as it's fully sold out at the stores I checked initially this morning, and most of the stores within reasonable driving distance have either sold out or are now at low stock notices.

Getting Pokopia flashbacks to watching that sell out throughout the day when it launched. I think it's going to have very good sales numbers.

I played through one of the stories in Three Houses and never got back into it. I felt like a creep, being a teacher and romancing the students (even though I think the MC's around the same age?). I'm glad FW is good. I've been thinking about it but I'm trying to clear some games off my backlog in time for FF Resonance.

TMM and I also played a bit of Orbitals together, really captures that retro anime feel.

Yeah Three Houses just felt... off to me. Not sure if it was the teacher setting or what but I played the prologue and then bounced off. Can tell you basically nothing about it as none of it was retained.

Fortune's Weave I'm enjoying a lot more.

Touching back on this, there are now less than five stores between Walmarts, Targets, Best Buys and GameStops that have any copies left within 50 miles of me that still has any stock. Almost all of those have low stock warnings saying they only have 1 or 2 copies left.

Thanks for the info about FW. I was curious and didn't see it until today, it was the last copy at a Target. Decided to get it just in case. It'll probably be awhile before I'll get to play it, but now I don't have to worry about not being able to find it.

So I have a Nintendo Switch 2 question. I am going to be buying a Switch 2 for my kids' Christmas present this year, and I wanted to get the Zelda Switch 2. However, that one you can't even pre-order anywhere. That means I will just have to get them a regular edition of Switch 2, but I was wondering if there were any hardware revisions I should look out for? for example, there is a Switch Sports Resort version that is coming out in a couple weeks, and I didn't know if it has any revisions to it or the joycons or anything that make it more of a desirable version to get. Or are all of them the same and I could just get the console by itself or the Mario Kart bundle?

As of right now, there doesn't seem to be any revisions of the switch 2. At least not yet, we do know that in the EU they will be making ones with replaceable batteries.

But right now for the rest of the world, any switch 2 should be viable.

There is a revision to make the internal battery replaceable to make it compliant with new European regulations. I'm not sure if that's actually worth looking out for or not? And I think it's only being sold in Europe, anyway? I don't know if that's worth trying to "import" or not?

But, outside of that...yeah, I'd go with some sort of a bundle with a game. Either the Mario Kart bundle, if you can still find it. Or the "Choose your game" bundle, where you can pick one of 3 digital options: Mario Kart, Donkey Kong, or Pokopia. If you're interested in Pokopia, I'd go with that one, because the physical game cartridge itself is just a Game Key Card, so there's no point of getting the physical version. Donkey Kong Bananza is definitely worth picking up on it's own, though.

I heard (read take with a mountain of salt) that they'll be selling the replaceable battery version everywhere simply because, why pay more to keep manufacturing two different versions when one will do...but they're still probably trying to run out of the current stock of original Switch 2's first.

Thanks for the info! I might look out for one if I decide to get another switch 2 in a few years, but for right now, I am fine with not having a replaceable battery.

I do have another question though. I know on the first switch I needed to get a micro SD card for it to not run out of storage. Do I need to get one for the Switch 2 as well?
