8bitdo released a firmware update for the SN30 Pro+ controller (the controller i use) which made it compatible with the switch 2 so naturally in order to update my controller's firmware i had to fuckin install tiny10 (a custom lightweight distribution of windows 10) in a ******* virtual machine because apparently making a ******* linux version of your ******* update tool is so ******* hard!!!!!!!!!!!!
Why would you ever need to update the firmware on your controller anyway?
as you might be able to figure out with with amazing new invention they have called 'math', a controller that was released in 2019 does not include compatibility with a video game console released in 2025 out of the box and therefore would need an update to work with the new console
I haven't paid any attention to the Switch 2. Are the controls all that different from the first Switch?
The JoyCon 2 charging grip and the Switch 2 Pro Controller both have back buttons that can be mapped to whatever the hug you want
