"I can do the 'Superhero Landing' pose, now that I have knees for it to ruin!" I know what you're thinking: "Oh Primus, why are they letting him do this again?!" To which I say: Don't be such a SpoilSport. That's the Targetmaster's job. Anyway, Markclonus is back, showing off what to expect from the next round of toys at some point in the not-too distant future, and I'm back to make stupid jokes while sharing them with you. It's a win/win. "This symbol of our freedom and liberty makes for excellent cover. Like a shield, you might say. I wonder why no one has ever thought of doing this sooner?" or "Hey, wanna check out my guns while checking out my guns? Yeah, I'm dual-wielding, and I'm not even a Double Targetmaster!" "A properly rotating point of articulation is a wonderful thing to waist!" "You can just call me Drew Carey, 'cause I've got a parting gift to thank you for playing!" "Why are my blasts a different color now?" "Look, SpoilSport. Everything the light touches is our kingdom." "Dude, 'Kingdom' was like, so four years ago." "Haw-haw! Mr. 'My Gun Doesn't Turn Into A Little Dude' can't keep up!" "Targetmasters! Transform, and--" "Ahem." "Sigh, fine. And you, too, Crosshairs. Roll out, or whatever." "Huh. You look bigger than I remember." "Funny, I was just thinking the opposite about you." "Would you like to go bug some dunes?" "Would I?!" "First person to make a 'Cheese Wagon' joke gets it right between the eyes... once I figure out where my gun wandered off to." "Clear your schedule for Monday nights, because I'm bringin' back Nitro!" "So I may not be especially toon-accurate, but I'm me-accurate, and that's what counts!" "Kids, don't try this at home! ... Are your parents gone yet? Good. Now, you should totally try this at home!" So, what do you think? Does this release seem like a sure thing, or do you think they need to take another shot at it? Tell us in the comments below, or in the Age of the Primes thread on the good ol' Allspark forums! Until next time! From Takara Tomy, and/or Amazon Japan, we have a full reveal of the evil Shadow Dragon (translation of the actual character name is still a work in progress). This new bot has multiple modes and methods of combining with previous figures. It can be: 1- A "Standard" robot 2- A "Standard" dragon 3- Combined with the two mini-wyverns to form a Super Robot (using the mini wyverns as extensions for either the legs or the arms) 4- Combined with the two mini-wyverns to form a Super Dragon 5- Combined with any combination of limb-bots to form a Super Robot 6- Combined with any combination of limb-bots to form a Super Dragon 7- Combined with the Optimus or Megatron torso bots as upgrade armor See the gallery below for pictures of all those possibilities! It's happening! TakaraTomy has tweeted (Xeeted?) a blacked out teaser of what could only be Missing Link Ultra Magnus. We look forward to seeing the proper reveal, and finding out how on Earth they managed to give this design movable legs. This is going to be a feat of engineering. Join the Allspark today.
"FLATLINE! WOO-WOO-WOO-WOO-WOO-WOO! There, I said it. That'll be 12 shanix." Marklonus is back, rested up, and bringing us a new batch of BTS images and commentary. This time, the subject of his affection is the evil* Decepticon medical officer, Flatline! "Does this kibble make my thighs look big?" "Relieve your intestinal tracks on my hood, will you?!" "And one for Jenny and the wimp!" "I'd just like to welcome you to the gun show! ...what? Flex? What's that got to do with anything?" "Hark! Is that but a troubled soul I hear? I must quickly make my way to their side! And on the way, try to think of ways to make it worse." "Use my siren to run a red light?! Where's the fun in that?!" "I'm still not sure about this..." "Trust me! 'Good Doc, Bad Doc' gets 'em every time!" "Can I play the piano anymore?" "Of course you can!" "Well I couldn't before!" or "Wh-what are you doing...?" "Getting ready to light you on fire. You've been upstaging me as the 'evil doctor' this entire post!" "Oh... yeah, fair." "Fabulous medical secrets were revealed to me the day I held aloft this magic sword, and... wait, why am I here?" That does it for another bit of BTS fun. I hope it's just what the doctor ordered... otherwise, he might kill me. Blokees' 5.5cm tall chibi Defender Version series has hit its fourth wave, with the official reveal of the first few inclusions hitting a few days ago. As Allsparker Exatron points out, Blokees has posted an official drop of the rest of the wave... and things continue to heat up. It just wouldn't be a Galaxy Defender Version series without special variants or more vehicle-mode figures, so fittingly Blokees has saved the best surprises for last. Joining the lineup of basically the Tiny Rodimus Prime Show are the limited Special Armor types of blazing, sword-wielding Rodimus Prime and season 3 waiter Grimlock. The wave also features limited-number Special Galaxy Type versions of metallic dino mode Grimlock, and Matrix-opening Rodimus Prime, as well as vehicle mode Rodimus Prime and vehicle mode Wheeljack. Finally, we're seeing a regular Shockwave (the Glittering version was in series 3), and debuting in the Defender Version scale is a Brilliant version of Hound! Keep the conversation going on the Allspark -- which Defender Version 4 Blokees are you hoping YOUR next blind box will reveal? Allspark Forums Discord Server X Facebook Page Bluesky Instagram
Just like the headline says, Takara Tomy has dropped a new video on the T-Spark YouTube channel, showing off the second in the Adamas Machina Transformers line: AM-T02, aka Predaking! In case you're not able to watch this pretty short (just over four minutes) video right now, here are some of the pertinent details. Remember how cool Predaking -- and, well, everyone else, but I digress -- looked in the Transformers Generation 1 season 3 (2010, if you go the Japanese route) episode, "Call of the Primitives"? Well, it looks like the concept design for that is what director Akira Amiya from Trigger drew inspiration from when designing this bad boy of the jungle, who stands about 300mm, or 11.81 inches tall. Yes, he does break down into his core components, the Predacons. In fact, it seems the design was based on Predaking first, and the rest were extrapolated from that. He's got posability for days, all the way down to his fingers and even his toes! And there are paint apps aplenty -- the "largest number of paint jobs in the Transformers gang market," according to the auto-generated YouTube subtitles. Two swords are included: The Sonic Blade and the Photon Sabel (er, I think they might mean "saber"), which is rendered in 3D for the first time. These can be wielded in his hands, or attached at hard points along his waist and back. And of course, there's also the "X-Ray Laser Canon" ("cannon," I'm sure), which is formed from combining two other cannons. Those can also be similarly attached at various points along his body. If I'm reading this right, he'll be released in March 2026 and run you 59,400 yen, while our affiliates over at Big Bad Toy Store are accepting pre-orders for a May 2026 shipping date for $449.99. If you decide to go that route, please click this link to help us out! So, what do you think? Whether you can't wait to buy 'King, or maybe you think $90 per die-cast Predacon is too much, feel free to chat all about it below, or over in the "Takara announces T-Spark: a transforming IDW Rodimus and more" thread in our forums (which is where I found out about this from member Platypus Prime). The official Blokees account on Twitter/X has posted promo pics of their upcoming Defender Version series 4 figures! The lineup for "Tyrant's Fury" is plenty interesting, with two followups to series 3's Hot Rod and Grimlock, in Rodimus Prime (now with arm blasters) and Dino Mode Grimlock, respectively. Vehicle mode Starscream comes in to continue the jet-mode G1 Seekers in this scale, and Shattered Glass Megatron joins the fray to face off against series 3's Shattered Glass Optimus Prime. Scourge, Rumble (named as such in the post... y'know, the blue one) and Blitzwing round out the robot-mode figures, and a new Defender Version combiner seems to be in the offing with the debut of vehicle-mode Combaticon, Brawl! How has your Blokees collection been shaping up? Will you add these to your Defender Version shelf? Allspark Forums Discord Server X Facebook Page Bluesky Instagram
Amazon.jp has put up a listing for what appears to be entirety of Transformers Wild King Wave 4, Sky Report. Sky Report is a Leaf Energy Eagle that transforms similarly to the previously released Thunder Beak, forming either a limb or a set of wings for the combined mode with Optimus (or Megatron, if one so chooses.) Gamespot.com have revealed a slew of upcoming Hasbro exclusives that will be available "exclusively on-site at the Hasbro booth at select conventions, including the New York Comic Con and MCM London" as well as on HasbroPulse.com. And one of them is a $75 exclusive pack featuring a cab-only retool of Legacy Evolution's Commander class Armada Optimus Prime into Nemesis Prime... wielding the Star Saber superweapon itself, comprised of three converting Air Defense Mini-Cons! Still wielding his rifle and arm blasters (as well as the Matrix? Doomstone?), Nemesis Prime features an uncannily distorted new visage. He's also joined, somehow, by Air Defense-colors Runway, Jetstorm, and Sonar in this exclusive pack, all the better to feud with Hot Shot over whether these Mini-Cons stay on the side of good or turn to the dark side. Without any need for light-piping to accommodate a light-up gimmick, the Mini-Cons have no clear plastic and should be a mite less fragile than their predecessors. One hopes the photodegradation of recent years spares them, as well. Are you planning to add this to your modernized Armada collection? Walmart has officially listed Transformers Retro Brawn on their website, which means we can now get a better look at the G1 toy-styled version of the classic macho minibot. This SS86 Brawn retool gives him his classic toy-based bullet head and a dashing shade of forest green more evocative of the original toy. The altmode also has the signature big Autobot logo on the black hood block. Which Brawn do you already have, and which one/s will you have after this sees release? The runup to Walmart's upcoming Collector Con may be heating up, as right after the reveal of a Transformers Retro Seaspray listing, a possible first glimpse at a toy-based Brawn from the same exclusive line has surfaced. And that's definitely a toy-based head and cooler, forest-y green, all right... Shame they didn't get around to retooling the hands into the toy claws, but the rest looks like a neat callback. No site listing or other pictures yet, but we're waiting on those like you are! How many Transformers Retro remakes are on your want list? YVAN EHT NIOJ We now know what the long-listed Transformers Retro version of Seaspray will look like. As Walmart continues its exclusive line of G1 homages, it's joined by one more upsized Minibot, as listed on their website. An all-new mold unlike the Minibot retools/redecos that have preceded it, this Deluxe class figure will be available as part of Walmart's Collector Con event, which kicks off July 24. Armed with a blaster, this iteration of Seaspray has a deco that calls back to the G1 toy more (as befits the line) with an all-yellow head and dark visor. Nevertheless, Aquaman over here the seafaring Autobot has a sculpt that evokes the animation model's portly design. It's entirely possible that a more cartoon-based redeco may come later, but this being an exclusive is a fair caveat to consider. Whom are you hoping for from the Transformers Retro line? After a little bit of a break, Marky "Mark" Clonus is back on Instagram, fuelling our desires for new Transformers: Age of the Primes toys by providing us with all-new images coupled with dazzling insights! This week, we have to give his offerings a 3 -- as in Alpha Trion, of course! Let's see what there is to see! "Huh... I expected a lot more bleeding once I ripped out my navel piercing. And a lot less glowing. Neat." "Mr. Cullen? Could I please have your autograph? Oh, I'm nobody special, just a big fan of your work..." "...sweet. eBay, here I come!" "You know I can do that thing the Joker did with a quill in Tim Burton's Batman movie? Just watch... wait, where are you going?! Come on, it's really cool!" "Now, as long as the enemy doesn't have any tiny creatures who can walk through this gap, I'll be perfectly safe. Hmm? 'Titan Masters'? What are those?" "Hey, don't laugh! Tony Stark was a bit shaky on his first time, too!" "Well, okay, I can do that, if it's a matter of gentlemanly etiquette. But who is this 'Zod' you speak of?" "Dangit. My doctor warned me this might happen if I didn't take my pills." or "Hey, think WWE would be willing to sign me if I provide my own pyro?" "AAAAH!!! ONE GOT PAST THE SHIELD! Yeah, sorry, I'm hot and tired, so no making with the ha-ha in the headline today. Will I think of something for the article, though? Read on, and find out! The folks all the way over at Takara Tomy have posted a new video to their T-SPARK YouTube channel featuring the newest MPG release, God Bomber from 1988's Transformers: Masterforce! No longer must your MPG Ginrai run around naked as he takes on the forces of such Destrons as Overlord and Black Zarak! if you're familiar with God Bomber's whole shtick, there's probably very little here that will surprise you. He can attach to Ginrai's cab in trailer mode, or connect to Ginrai's trailer to really frustrate traffic -- that is, until you flip the wing-mounted rockets and add effects parts so he can plow through traffic. He also comes with three figures of the Headmaster Junior trio, who can ride inside of him as his own self-propelled vehicle instead of their smelly old Transtectors. But unfortunately, it's standing room only. That's the price of taking public transit, I guess. And for those of you who just like to watch, a decent portion of the video's duration is taken up by showing the step-by-step process of converting him to robot mode, as well as into a spiffy new power suit for Powermaster Prime's Pacific parallel persona. Better than anything Hasbro has committed to paper in some time, at that! Via Google Translate, the description adds the following (slightly cleaned up for consistency's sake): Not mentioned is that he apparently comes with the sword he is briefly shown holding in the video, the "God Blade" according to TFWiki. Why? I don't know, I still need to watch Masterforce. I can only assume because everyone and everything is better with a sword. Just look at He-Man. Nobody really cared when he was just swinging an axe around until he held aloft a magic sword and started screaming his head off while static-popping his cat with the tip. Maybe Super Ginrai can do a similar thing with it before buffing up into God Ginrai, yeah? Hey, it's your toy (assuming you buy one), don't let anyone tell you what to do. So, yeah. That's the long and the short of it. Did I bring the funny? Probably not. We'll probably get shut down if anyone looks at this post, so please don't tell all your friends. If you decide you want one of these, you'd better hop on it quick. Places like BBTS are selling out of pre-orders, but our sponsor TFSource still has some slots for the Ginrai Box Set left ahead of its September release! Oh, and if you want to talk about this, we've got comments below, and we've got not one, but two other potential places to do so! Hop on over to "Masterpiece Theater: the MP thread" for all sorts of Masterpiece-related discourse, or hit up the "Japanese Transformers News" thread if you're interested in what else is happening over there. Takara Tomy has psted the first full set of images of Synergenex Transformers Macross crossover Basara Prime. The figure converts from Basara Nekki's red VF-19 Excalibur Custom Variable Fighter to Gerwalk Mode (a staple of Macross), a special ground mode with wheels, or guitar-playing robot mode. His microphone-equipped stage can convert to a trailer reminiscent of Rodimus Prime's that can connect to the ground-vehicle form of the main figure. The robot mode head has three face options: neutral, smiling/singing, or Optimus-style faceplate. See the pictures below for more details. UPDATE: More Stock Photos added. Now, this isn't your father's M.A.S.K. -- at least, assuming your father grew up with the IDW incarnation of the franchise. No sirree, T-Bob, this one is going back to the originals from the '80s. So, maybe your grandfather's M.A.S.K.? Feel free to A.S.K. (Ask Some Kuestions) the next time you see him, I guess. Among other brands that Hasbro can't be bothered with, but are still only too happy to collect licensing fees from, The Loyal Subjects is taking the reins on this release and making the toys themselves. And to kick things off, that includes a special San Diego Comic-Con version of the Rhino Mobile Defense Unit. Here's what they have to say about that: If it's like the one I had as a kid, it's a sure treat for anyone who owns it. Heck, it may even top mine -- this one looks like it supports effects parts! Take that, mid-'80s toy company who made lots of cool stuff and got swallowed up and oh now I've made myself sad. Anyway, we've mirrored some pics of the Mobile Defense Unit here, but head over to ToyArk to see the rest of the goodies from the first wave of toys that you can pre-order (remember, use the link!) from BBTS beginning July 1st! Thanks to Steevy Maximus for the tip! What do you think? Are you going to M.A.S.K. up on July 1st, and show some valor to V.E.N.O.M.? Maybe put Miles through some Mayhem? Tell us about it in the comments below, or in the aptly-named "The Loyal Subjects to relaunch MASK, and other Legacy Hasbro Brands" thread on our forums, where I learned of this hot tip!
