I used to be like that, but now I give up at the first obstacle.

I planned to be productive this morning but I'm blocked in my driveway by a huge truck.

I'm not an unmotivated person. I just can't control what my motivation picks to work on.

Thursday:
Shift lead: Can you come in Monday to cover someone who's on vacation?

Me: what the hell? I'm not doing anything and I can certainly use the money.

---

Friday: Have major blowup (with the person I'll be covering no less).

---

Monday: Alarm wakes me up at 5:30 after a fitful night of stress dreams and I'm still pissed off and now I'm going into work on my normal day off. What the hell was I thinking?

Yeah, it's pretty easy to get around on the trains. On the downside, rent/housing prices even an hour away are high.

See I wouldn't want to live in DC but I'd want to visit again and maybe stay there for a bit on vacation so I could explore the city and see stuff.

Cause like that trip we did was fun and all and we got to see some stuff but obviously being on a schedule and all that meant like you can't go around and explore DC on your own.

Like this is as close to the Lincoln Memorial as I could get:

Yeah, like all the ones ran by the Smithsonian.

Useless fact: the founding patron and namesake of the Smithsonian Institution literally never visited the US.
