threezero formally reveals DLX TLK Optimus Prime
However you feel about the Michael Bay era of live-action Transformers films and how the designs therein reinvented the brand and its characters, it can’t be denied that the intricate, hyper-detailed designs can be tricky to replicate to a satisfying degree in physical form. However, high-end figures like the DLX series from threezero try their best anyway, with stunning results.
Due in Q4 2022, this new DLX release from threezero takes a stab at capturing the embattled knight design of Optimus Prime from 2017’s Transformers: The Last Knight, and gives it all they’ve got. Coming with the usual accoutrement of accessories like alternate hands, an action stand, TLK Optimus Prime’s signature Temenos sword and shield, and a healthy amount of die-cast and electronics, this highly-articulated 11″ tall figure might not convert but cuts an imposing silhouette nonetheless.
