He was a genuine expert on Senate procedures. Unfortunately.
And yet, what did it get him? Hated by history and his fellow man, and by his own beliefs: burning in hell.
I doubt he cares how history will remember him, even less how his fellow man will. And I'm sure his own belief is that he's going to heaven because he bent the country to his jivety religion just like Jebus wanted him to (assuming he's actually religious and not just catering to the rubes to get their votes).

All this discussion about this incapacitated senator reminds me of four years ago when there were rumours / conspiracy theorising about The Queen having been dead for days or weeks (or months) before the official announcement. I can believe that, in this case, because those released photos look completely AI, and the whole GOP clown-car comes across as so cooked-brained that they likely believe haphazard cover-ups are the norm.
The GOP believes haphazard covers up are the norm, because they routinely engage in haphazard cover ups and are so entitled, stupid, trapped in their echo chambers and so lacking in self awareness that they genuinely believe that everyone does it.
It's the other side of the "every accusation is a confession" coin.
Their cultists will believe whatever they say and their critics have no power to actually stop them. Why bother coming up with good lies when bare-faced bullshittery works?

A lot more positivity than literally any of the TV ads I've seen for him, that's for sure. And the most I've actually seen of him, and not just fearmongering about his opponent, this entire election cycle. Meanwhile all the Democrats' ads are actually doing what this video is and focusing on their own campaign promises and not mentioning their opponents at all. I know "we go high" is considered cringe now but I can't help but appreciate the contrast between one side being all cheap shots and lies and the other side being all positivity.
