What stupid thing did the GOP say or do this time? Episode 3!

Man, they've really got to get their heads together and decide whether they want to agree with the Democrats that putting together a huge pork barrel that was too long to read was a bad idea.

Apparently there's a bunch of stuff in there the Senate literally cannot allow in a budget bill by law that'll likely get cut, and cutting it may still make it die when it goes back to the House for reconciliation.
If I got even a pretty short term as King, I would set hard policy that the budget and the tax laws are always perpetual unless amended. So they would never fail to fund the government. They would only fail to change it.

I forget if it's been mentioned here, but Pam Bondi's brother Bradley was running to be president of the D.C. Bar. The election results were just published; let's see how he did.

Unfortunately some people need to see first hand how bad someone is before they'll believe it. We are seeing that quite a bit lately, unfortunately. Upshot is that more and more people are waking up. Hopefully enough do before we officially end up in a civil war.

wonko the sane?

You may test that assumption at your convinience.

So... those 2000 national guard troops trump sent in? Yeah, there for a 29 day deployment: meaning the government is not responsible for stuff like feeding them, housing them, supplying them in general. It's all on THEM to pay out of pocket and no means to be repaid for expenditures while deployed.

They've got a solid month of "winging it" for food, water and shelter ahead of them.

Thank god the US isn't currently involved in a large scale war: because they would absolutely do this there as well.

It IS an opportunity though: those protesters can set up some chow lines and invite in the guardsmen.

Yeah there's images of these men, and I can only see men, sleeping on the loading dock of the Federal Building they're in. It's great.

And yet Trump will absolutely send a bill to California once this is over to pay for his the military's support.

I wonder if Trump is expecting them to resort to plundering the supplies they need, because he's a wannabe Genghis Khan like that.

I can guarantee you trump absolutely does not care where or how they get their supplies and materiel. It's not even a case of "so long as he's not paying for it" he just does not care or can be made to care.

They're suckers and losers, after all.
