I used to want all the original "non-G1" versions of G1 characters in their G1 colours (because at the time, there was a drought of actual G1 toys).

These days, I prefer the actual "crazy" alternate colours for these characters, as they fit in more for me as aesthetically different versions of them.

Silly how more choice and time can change us, eh?

I get that. I think a bit part of what I like about Powerlinx Prime's color scheme is the similarity to his subsequent Energon colors. So not only is the deco not G1, it's also not just a one-off. It's a whole other thing.

That's probably why I also always liked Cyberton Prime's confusingly named Galaxy Force color scheme. If only the Leader got that color scheme I might not care as much, but multiple bodies got it. It got to be its own whole alternate thing. It's fun when weird alternate color schemes get multiple toys.

Didn't the Galaxy Force colours get used for the Japanese (Leader Class?) Prime OP? I've got one with chromed weapons and greyish/black legs. It's a nice, "Powermaster Prime" styled figure.

That gold is such a simple change (in fact the only change) but it looks so nice in the super mode.

Somebody mentioned it awhile back, with zero proof to support, maybe an upcoming capsule could be Armada based. And I just keep thinking about it.

Powerlinx Hot Shot Pulsecon Exclusive is out for that.

Leader - Galvatron

Voyager - Thrust. We already saw an image of a jet that most of us guess to be him on the Powerlinx HS box.
- Thundercracker / Powerlinx Starscream. Seems like a no brainer. Along with a slight remold to Skywarp that will be an impossible to find Target store exclusive.

Deluxe - Wheeljack - This has to be a given with the G2 Sideswipe that was shown, right?
- Thrust - he would be a Needlenose repaint and a deluxe class would fit him better anyway than Voyager scale wise.

But who else?

Could a Junkion be retooled for Smokescreen / Hoist?
Crashbar into Sideways?
It was hinted in a Hasbro Live that Tidal Wave is possibly on the way.
Now that we have seen Jolt, you would have to think other Minicons are being considered, maybe a new Star Saber team? 6 pack like the Galactic Odyssey set, but better?
MAYBE a Skullgrin remold into Demolisher? But I don't want Demolisher without Cyclonus, so unless he would be a new mold I don't think he is happening.

Other thoughts?

I would love for a new Sideways, but I would prefer him to be a new mold that uses the Titan master gimmick properly.

We need some more Decepticons like Demolisher and Cyclonus.

Tidal Wave would probably be a Leader or maybe commander at most. He has to attach to Armada Megatron and IIRC, Megatron already has some future-proofed attachment engineering going on.

I know it'll never happen in the age of almighty accuracy, but I'd love to see Megatron's Tidal Wave combination redesigned to add boots. I never liked Armada Megatron being so much shorter than Prime's super mode.

I kinda agree here, it feels like it was made in hindsight rather then planned. The only part i really likeed was the sorts flight back it gave him. But never really understood the point of him just wearing two boats on his arms. It feels like it could be redisgned to keep the look similar but improve it at the same time.

I expect they might visit Tidalwave in Legacy year 3 along with Armada Jetfire that can be Optimus's pants (as the yankies call them) and then evenly Overload for him, with Megs, who knows, they might decide to do a brand new character who is a weaponizer, yet with the intent of combining with Armada Megatron, as for class size, I expect Tidalwave to be a commander class than leader, Jetfire I think leader would suit him while Overload would likely be a voyager as they'll take out the Minicon and give him a alterative alt mode, but that just my specluation!

Jetfire ought to be whatever size class would allow him to best match the size of Optimus's super mode trousers.

Well, currently the original Overload actually work extremely well with Commander Prime. I think there's a bit of wiggle room, but it's not a "just perched" on. There's clearly a place for him.

Most likely leader class, why because its not exactly a straight forward transformation as he pretty much a triple changer, besides the trailer legs are taller than a voyager figure
