Technically Legacy! FLCS had the Legacy DK-2 Guard redeco for less than current deluxe MSRP, so I took a chance to check out the Earth version of the Ironhide/Ratchet mold. I really like the black-with-stripes deco, which goes a long way to hiding some of the chunkiness the mold has like the shoulders and feet sticking out. Still there, but far less visible with black on black. About the only nitpick is the red hinge for the windshield is a bit of an eyesore. Otherwise, I know how this mold works, there are still parts-crashing-into-parts; and the feet and leg panels pop off with appalling ease, way worse than my Cybertronian Ironhide, but the modified mold otherwise is still pretty good. Using the roof as a riot shield is certainly a choice, but we've all seen way worse uses of kibble parts.
It's an interesting redeco of an okay rework of an okay mold, so I'm happy with it for the price I paid.
