If your kids aren't excited about Weird Al, what are you even doing as a parent?Meanwhile, adults get rightly excited when it turns into Weird Al.

This, 100%. As a kid, I used to love peering out the window at the garbage truck as it drove by. I thought it was the coolest job in the world, and loved that the garbage men got to ride on the back (of course, at the time, I thought that they rode back there for their whole shiftWe need more mundane stuff like that.
Kids don't know why they shouldn't be excited about a garbage truck. It's a big noisy machine with hydraulic arms.
Counterpoint: I ain't got kids so I ain't no parent. If your kids aren't excited about Weird Al, what are you even doing as a parent?
A-parent-ly not.Counterpoint: I ain't got kids so I ain't no parent.![]()
Same. It seems like the trickle of info on Liokaiser has been slower than Omega Prime. And I have to hope that it's because they're tightening up the QC.Super looking forward to getting this in hand!
It's all just Studio Series now. Siege/Earthrise/Kingdom/Legacy/Evolution/AOTP is Studio Series but the occasional digressions are into newer cartoons instead of video games. HasLab is Studio Series for people who collect huge expensive anime figures. Collaborative comes closest to having its own identity but the differences are pretty superficial. It's all the same stuff wearing a few different fake beards.I guess this thread is just a dumping ground, now. Collaborative, HasLab, Age of the Primes, you name it.
There's still a distinction in goals between the two, IMO: Studio Series is about trying (with various levels of success) to replicate stuff seen on screen (the live action movies at first, then the animated movies, then games and concept characters) and is going to be moving into comics next year. Meanwhile, Generations (or at least the non SS generations, since Studio Series is technically a generations subline) is more loosey goosey about what they'll do, up to and including generating new characters from whole cloth, and is willing to do gimmicks. (Like how Kingdom Cyclonus has those ugly blast effects posts on his body while '86 Scourge did not) And willing to slap a new head and color scheme on a toy and call it a day no matter how inaccurate it is to the source material. It's all just Studio Series now. I'm pretty sure I'm a g1 figure with bad case of gold plastic syndrome...we are ALL studio series on this blessed day
There ought to be an ointment for that.I'm pretty sure I'm a g1 figure with bad case of gold plastic syndrome...
