I love the idea that Megatron's flying won over Orion and he still turns in to a tank thing.

I won't experience Megatron's shoulders 'til Galvatron exists, but Scourge's are fine to me, I've never liked the tall stacks moving along with rest of the arm on their designs.

Yeah I've honestly no problem with Legacy Laser Prime's shoulders. I feel if the tall parts moved with them, that'd just be more frustrating than anything else.

The static shoulder pylons prevent the Laser Prime mold from raising his whole arm directly upward and fully lifting his sword triumphantly overhead.

This would also prevent the Armada Megatron mold from being able to do the same with his arms and any version of the Star Saber one places into his hand.

It would have been entirely possible to just add joints to the original shoulder designs, so we'd have both possibilities. I understand the budget, but that couldn't have been more costly than the reworked transformations they came up with.

If they had thought about it in the desgining stage, then it wouldn't cost anything beyond a few min

Concerning design, is Aaron Archer involved in this at all? I follow him on social media, and I'm a fan of his art and what he created with Armada, but I'm not sure what all he is involved with these days.
I really enjoyed what previous designers did with his concepts in the T30 line, and am looking forward to seeing more. I just hope corporate cost cutting doesn't take overall beautiful concepts, and turn them into less than meets the eye.

It was robot mode flight that was new, wasn't it? Skyfire and Starscream were fliers who explicity predated the autobot/decepticon war.
I... don't think any of that applies to these versions? Except the tank part, that is.

I'm digging Orion and Megatron, but Ratbat and Shockwave, less so. Not that I don't like them, but...

I mean I only joked because Undead Scotsman talked about putting him with his War Dawn guys.

Check out his YouTube page. Every Friday he does a live for an hour or so talking about the toys and his views on them. Talked about his experiences with the designing the Unicron trilogy and how it all played out. Things he wishes he could have done better. It’s interesting to listen too.

Also I got notification from Hasbro pulse. My armada Megs and dirge are about to ship. IIRC they were late summer. Armada Prime now says July 7th. Guess some product came early. Sorry wallet.

UK Hasbro Pulse says Op is end of July, while about a week before its Nemesis, its getting a bit weird with TF orders, not exactly sure why the titan class jumped the que to be in front of the Commander class, still, Iooking forward to having them arrive, I got Armada Megatron in a few days ago with Beachcomber and also got the two, two packs with Sentenors in them! Hopefully we can have a quiet preiod for a little while without anything new popping up for preorder
