Regarding the beard, from some earlier, lower-resolution pictures, I thought his mouthplate was painted white (to be a Santa beard), but I don't think that that's the case now that I can see it clearer.
Looks white to me, but regardless, I want the full "Marvel Comics" look the designers based it on.
In the states, HESS was (is?) a chain of gas stations. When I was a kid, they used to sell a toy truck around the holidays (and possibly other times of the year), and I always got excited when the new one would come out. I think that all of the white on this Prime kind of pings the HESS nostalgia feels for me.
Regarding another point in your post, I am not surprised that they didn't throw a little more stank on him in the form of a stocking cap, tree, reindeer, star - anything that would further drive home the "holiday" theme. If we lived in less economically turbulent times, I would be surprised, but not now. As it is, they took the existing Prime trailer, blasted it with white, threw a few red stripes on it, and called it good. Kinda boring, IMO, but I am glad for those that like it.

Just means Toyhax gets to go all out on it. Becuase if I get this, I am sure as hell getting whatever sticker set they have to make the trailer interior at all interesting.
I'm typically not a fan of Toyhax's "embellishment" sets (I very much appreciate the sets that either replace lost stickers, or in the case of newer toys, replicate the look of the classic versions), but I do agree that the trailer needs something, and I'd definitely consider a Christmas-specific variation in this case.

I'm kinda love/hate with Toyhax, as I've mentioned in the past. Some sets I feel are worth it, even if you don't use everything; and others feel like they had to pad out the set to get to price that wouold likelt cover whatever production costs they have, while others feel a bit too... try hard. (Like the set to make Nemy's trailer into a trailer for SG Prime with edgelord-y versions of Prime's stickers). I've not cared much to get the stickers for Optimus, or Nemesis's Trailers, making them look more like command centers and giving more G1ish stickers is a fine idea. However those trailers don't bother me as much as the all white does here, so its like yeah I already know they've got a sale when that set goes up. Even if I don't use everything, its gonna be worth it to make trailer just look less... barren.

It honestly wouldn't surprise me if there was some G.I. Joe story that saw Cobra creating their own gas station chain for some nefarious plot.
Then Ratbat could sue them for trying to copy his idea.
Actually, now that I think about it, there very well might have Cobra gas stations in G.I. Joe: Renegades, since Cobra in that show was a big corporation that had its fangs in almost every kind of business imaginable: pharmaceuticals, emergency services, shipping, retail, public transportation, you name it.
