By then, a Deluxe will be $45, and Steeljaw will still be one per case at a random retailer.Looking forward to a Polygon Pictures studio series-esque toyline in like 10 years with a focus on making all the rid15 decepticons
Or Tarantulas, Inferno, Megalo Convoy, Jhiaxus...Heh, no way would Legacy make him look that faithful in robot mode. He'd get a more humanoid head with only vague dog-like facial features, and would stand more upright.
Also no tail. Geewun-ification would remove the silly furry tail.
Chances are he'd probably end up looking something like Kup, Ironhide, or Trailbreaker.
Those guys weren't G1-ified because they weren't as stylized as the Prime, Animated, and RID'15 designs. According to this current Hasbro team, stylized designs like that get G1-ified, sadly.Or Tarantulas, Inferno, Megalo Convoy, Jhiaxus...
Someone forgot to convert it?Why is the tail upside down on the old figure?
It's just left in its configuration for robot mode. The original is very weird. It seems like the tail might have been assembled upside down and this never got fixed.
It's going for accuracy in that Dragon Megatron was slightly more darker colors in the cartoon:

I think it's 6 of one and half a dozen of the other. I like the increase in gold detailing on the new version, but the lack of chromed/metallic red and purple paint on it is not cool. I'll have to do some extra detailing on the dragon mode head, neck plates, etc to make it look more like the toy and possibly repaint the eyes on both modes green.I'm not overly happy with the drab colour scheme of the new one... but I'm still going to buy it.
Holding out for the inevitable Cryotek deco on this mold.
There really needs to be a BW Megatron accessories kit. Rubber Ducky, Barrister's wig and Gavel, maybe golden disk reader for the eventual TM1 Megatron that we'll likely see at some point.
