Hasbro also never released that Micronauts cartoon that was announced and completed.
52 whole half-hour episodes exist and were never released.
God, by that point, just throw it on YouTube and see what happens.

Ugh, what a waste...

They say AI is a tremendous waste of environmental resources, but I didn't think people with actual (purportedly) intelligence would take that as a challenge!

Speaking of the last dregs of the Earthspark toyline, is there anywhere online to grab the last few deluxes? I haven't even seen Jawbreaker or Aftermath on my usual haunts, let alone Nightshade and Spitfire.

They made a Deluxe version of Spitfire?

Got Hashtag and Soundwave at our nearest Target last night! Super-excited to have decent representations of the whole Terran family! (Spitfire is the quick-change version, but it's better than a finger puppet!)
Attached the receipt, though I don't think the product number will help online. Just going to come out and say it, a Transformer named "Hashtag" is not an easy thing to search for in this day and age...

I haven't gotten any of the EarthSpark toys, but I found and grabbed Soundwave the other day. He's pretty cool. I may grab a Megatron when it hits a level of discount I'm comfortable with. Might try and grab an Optimus as well. That seems to be a decent toy.

wonko the sane?

You may test that assumption at your convinience.

My local winners had a bunch of earthspark warrior classes on sale for 10 bucks a pop. I managed to nab thrash and nightshade. Going to try to find time to make a tour of the others, and see if I can score the rest of the terrans.

I wasn't overtly into the toys (they looked pretty decent, but I'm not collecting two seperate lines at canadian prices.) but marked down past half? Yes sir.

Maybe in the comics, if someone with a vision beyond G1 gets writing duties, but other than that, probably not.

Well, maybe in 10-20 years, but I think assuming Transformers will even be still around at that point is pushing it, IMO.

They could always appear in a Crossover Crisis or get a "same character concept, different universe" take (such as was prevalent in IDW-2005-G1 and Last Bot Standing).

I mean, Nick Roche made Thrash, so I'd say he's got a pretty good chance of showing up in something made by Roche later.

Like, I could see them getting a cameo in a TF One sequel, but that doesn't seem like it's happening. It's unlikely they'd show in a live action film, which would probably go with more bankable names an a smaller cast.

Maybe Cyberverse's 5 minute episodes will be a fluke, but I can't see that show being much more than a toy commercial ala Wildocking rather than a venue to introduce non-toy characters. I honestly don't expect whatever follows (if there even winds up being one) to be different but who knows about that.

And the Energon Universe seems to be squarely in the realm of G1 nostalgia (I've only read the first year of comics, but I'd go as far to say G1 toon nostalgia, I haven't seen a lot of Marvel influence) and given how well it's doing for a comic, I don't see that changing anytime soon. (And at some point, I'd rather get a consistent creative vision, even if it's one I find unexciting, than pivoting to try and appeal to a new audience. I've seen too many comics I've enjoyed get whammie with a pivot and it's never been to their benefit.)

Well, not with that attitude!
