All I need are like 7-9 POA. If the smaller Joes can have that much, that’s the minimum I’d expect from the smaller Cyberworld toys. I’d also be okay with limbs in dynamic or pre-posed angles like smaller superhero figures but that’s probably not feasible for transforming toys.

I noticed that too. I didn't say anything because I didn't want to draw any attention to it.
I wonder why they don't make an Airachnid with a spider mode and a Transmetal tier "vehicle mode" that's like a helicopter.
I kinda like what sets her apart from other spider TFs like Blackarachnia was that she had a flying vehicle mode and that it was her robot mode that's spider-y. That that was her thing, specifically. Something unique to her.
But here, she just has a normal spider altmode and a humanoid robot mode with spider legs hanging off her arms as altmode kibble (instead of being a feature exclusive to her robot mode), just like Tarantulas and Blackarachnia. The only thing left that really stands out as being uniquely Airachnid"s is her robot mode's head design. But aside from that, the design of this version of the character reads more like Tarantulas and Blackarachnia than strictly Airachnid.

Cyberworld Airachnid hews pretty close to ONE Cog Changer Airachnid; it's not at all what she looks like in the movie, but it's a recent toy that looks a lot like her appearance in Cyberworld. Maybe it was a compromise in order to reuse the engineering for Chop Shop, maybe there's a mandate that the current Spider Transformer is Airachnid, even if Blackarachnia would make more sense.
As an aside, do we know much about the design team for Cyberworld? It's not the same crew working on AotP and Studio Series, right? It would be interesting to hear their takes on these designs, and maybe some of the design process.
Noticed that Airachnid feels the same about unmasked Grimlock as I do. Somebody on the writing team is watching us...
I really want to mention how much I am enjoying these characters, especially Snarl, Chop Shop, Grimlock, Mirage and now Airachnid. This series has some of the best characterization in years.
Also, while we see Galvatron's head at the end, any chance those lights we see behind them are coming from Shockwave's chest? I still think he is the big bad.
